Nice hotel but for the price I would expect more
Hotel nice but not clean. Covered in dust. Telly cables hanging under the to. Shower leaking all over the place and scum all round the pipes. Person above us found it acceptable to dance around their room all night long until it was time for us to get up and there was no where open to complain

When we first arrived staff were very friendly. Our family room that we were originally booked into had a terrible smell and didn't look like it had been cleaned. We were given a system room which was so much better. Breakfast in the morning was good. However the morning of checkout we were left waiting a while during breakfast/ drinks etc due to little staff and / or staff member talking to family or friends. Other than that the room was a great location to where or friends lived.

The venue itself was brilliant; however, there was live music and shouting until midnight which prevented us and our baby from sleeping until the live music stopped. I found this incredibly inconsiderate given the live music was very close to all of the rooms.

Test match special.
Ideal location for Trent bridge and the city ground. About a 25 minute walk. Hotel is functional but we didn't spend much time in there. The pub and restaurant is very good, food is excellent and reasonable priced, tidy breakfast also.

This is our second stay at Gamston Lock. A short bus ride from the centre of Nottingham make this the perfect place when visiting son (student at NTU). Good value for money and comfortable with friendly staff.

Best choice in Nottingham
I've stayed in a lot of one-night hotels for business, and I have to say this has got to be the best. Affordable, clean, fancy, and a great restaurant attached. Couldn't have asked for more.

Room was clean and a decent size. Food (evening meal) was reasonable, although beer was expensive. In general staff were polite and helpful, although in the morning when I tried to get a receipt I waited for around 5 minutes and despite someone looking at me on 2 or 3 occasions, no one came over to ask if I needed anything so I left. I was contemplating breakfast as well, but as they could not be bothered to welcome me in I decided to go elsewhere.

The staff were very friendly & helpfull , always a good atmosphere. Food was was great ! Never had a bad meal in 2 weeks of staying there . Parking was essy . Would definitely recommend!!
