the hotel looks and feels run down and in need of a refurb.
the walls being painted nicotine yellow makes the place feel dirty. the corridors were poorly lit.
The worst hotel I have ever stayed at. Should not be allowed for children and from the noise throughout the night hotel used as a sex location. Should not be on Expedia!
Could not initially find our booking
Poor quality tired run down hotel
Although booked for 5 only 4 beds available - cost an additional 20 Euro for camp bed
Surly overpriced restaurant and breakfast
Pretty rubbish
Oh - and the toilet needed to be repaired before we could use
Not one of our better bookings
horrific experience. My family, including two young children, had a one night stay however the room was not prepared as required (5 people) and it was a battle to get the staff to act to address even late on the evening. The room was dirty with no facilities - a kettle but no cups, coffee etc.... - plug sockets were hanging out of walls making it a health risk also. then to top it off at c11pm the staff decided to start a BBQ outside so smoke was coming into the rooms via open windows which were needed given the hot, stuffy environment!
the beds were reasonably comfy which was the only positive element
used hotel to sleep as was over to watch Wales play football in Lille. The staff were helpful even with the language barrier.
but it was a little to far out from Lille. 30 minute train journey or 200 euro taxi ride.
Arrived at 16:30 , had to wait 30 minutes for room to be cleaned. We had to get changed in reception toilets as we were in a hurry to go out. Booked a suite on 4th floor no lift! Television did not work! Not what we expect for the price.

Budget, but good for very tired family.
I think at £68 for a family room with a double and two singles it was good value.
Yes it was a bit untidy, no lift and no toilet paper in our bathroom.
The biggest downside for me as a Brit with barely any French was the fact that no staff spoke any English, so when I rang to say we were getting to the hotel after midnight it was a very short conversation. The Web page would not translate either.
That said, the young guy on reception did his best and appeared to have waited for us to arrive until 12:45am (I think I understood that reception may have closed at 24:00), so I was really impressed by this.
Hotel was comfortable and clean. We chose it as it was about an hour from Calias and provide a good location to stop. Breakfast was buffet style and enough choice for all and a very reasonable price.

Passing through!
My partner and I were passing whilst travelling through France to Belgium. It was a one night stay in what was clearly a budget sales persons hotel. Decor a bit dark and oppressive, hotel staff finish at 4 pm and all automatic or left for clients after that. Restaurant locked and bolted as was the bar and foyer after four so if you want to eat and drink then have to head out. Not a lot to Noyelles Godault apart from a Commercial Centre (needed to use it to get a tyre fixed). Would not necessarily stop over again but it was cheek and relatively comfortable to sleep in - not a lot more than that, certainly not a place to centre your break! Good luck!
Not sure why when the hotel was virtually empty that we were put on the top floor (4th - no lift) in the room furthest away from the reception. One towell between three adults was obviously not sufficient, the toilet needed cleaning and the room smelt musty. The restaurant was closed and the bar was also manned by the receptionist, but with very little enthusiasm. We decided to go out to eat and returned at 9.20 pm to find reception and bar in darkness, so no chance of getting more towells!. We left early in the morning at 7.00 am and reception was still closed with shutters down so we left the key in the entrance lobby. We appreciate this was a cheap room, price wise, on a par with a Premier/ Travel Lodge but unfortunately, not up to the standard. It could be due to the fact it was early January and with so few guests probably not worth their while to staff the place - but would recommend they close the hotel instead rather than providing a half hearted service. Unfortunately my opinion of this hotel is C*AP rather than CAP.
