If you want a loud stinky construction zone then this is the hotel for you. It could be a nice place but the building construction is poor so you can hear the neighbors walking upstairs. The food at the hotel is mediocre and quite overpriced. Each day we walk in the heat to the mall for lunch and dinner. Once a day the tide makes the beach unusable. The music at the beach is monotonous elevator music and drives us mad. The sales people on the beach don't leave us alone. This is not a 'luxury' hotel for anyone who has travelled and knows the meaning of luxury. Avoid it. How in the world does this hotel get a 9.4 composit score???

The Laguna is an incredible resort in Nusa Dua. We've had the best week getting spoiled here. The pools, beach, rooms, and staff were incredible. A few shout outs to; - Sweety at Kulkul who introduced us to Arak, the spirit of Bali. - The staff at the Lagoon Spa who provided us with an afternoon of total relaxation. - Ryan, Indra, and team at Banyubiru for great service, conversations, and delicious breakfast. - Widy for great service on two nights at Arwana. - Oka and others for amazing beach and pool side service. - Plus so many others who made our stay stress free. We also appreciated the extra security, our check in/out experience, luggage, airport transfer, room service, laundry, activities, etc. We were especially grateful for the resort allowing us to stay and use the pool/beach/spa well past checkout since we had a late flight out. I would highly recommend staying at the Laguna as you explore all of what Bali has to offer.

Wonderful magical

I came to the hotel as part of a Viking post cruise tour, but stayed on several days on my own. The hotel is absolutely exquisite. I can’t think of a bad thing to say about it. It is right on the Indian ocean there are amazing pools that thread their way through the gardens with waterfalls and one can swim all around the whole property it’s wonderful, the staff are so sweet just lovely. If you stay there, I’m sure you will have a wonderful time and the food is divine.

Nice and amazing but two important minus 1) there is many limitation for smoking people; 2) in each bill there is a service fee. You have to pay for it even if you don't like the service.

Staff is nice and friendly, small room, mattress was too firm caused soreness when waking up, balcony sliding door doesn’t close all the way leaving gaps for small bugs to easily enter. Lots of spider webs and spiders above the crown molding. Housekeeping did a good job but saw a couple bugs in the room which is hard to eliminate due to the sliding door. The pool was very boring, no music, no atmosphere. Dining options were average, property is right on the sand beach. I left the resort every night and had dinner at other neighboring resorts. Every resort that I went to was nicer than Laguna. The Kempinski is one of the most beautiful hotels I’ve ever seen. I believe it might be a 6 star which makes Laguna a 3/4 star. If Kempinski is only a 5 star resort for Bali, then Laguna is a 3 star hotel. I was upset to have seen them Kempinski and Laguna were the same price when they were so far apart in terms of elegance. Laguna is an okay resort, but I’d never return and there’s no way it’s 5 star. This is 3.5 star at best.

Excellent resort with great service & amenities. The buffet breakfast is fantastic. Lagoons around the property adds to the tropical luxury. Not a lot of nearby dining options outside of the resort though
