Awesome hostel. Do the e-bike tour and the sunset boat tour. It's totally worth it. Very helpful staff. You will not regret booking to stay here. A great place to meet travellers.

BEST PLACE IN NEW BAGAN
THE BEST PLACE TO STAY IN NEW BAGAN!! I loved this hostel and we stayed for 9 days. FREE coffee/tea all day, wonderful breakfast (eggs, toast, melon and treat), pasta bowls 3 times a day, Burmese cigars, daily FREE tours!! Super fun! Fun nightly game nites too!!! Good info: you must pay 25000 kht for government taxes. valid 4 days. We "borrowed" a ticket after ours expired. shhh . Moped rental next door for 5000kht day or 3000kht for sunrise only. btw, all loud activities must end at 11pm. this must be respected so behave, get a good nite sleep and see the SUNRISE! ENJOY

Great stay in OB
The place was very clean, bathroom was inside the room, which was very convenient. The staff were very helpful, especially MJ, she was very friendly and cheerful:). The location is very good as well. Nice restaurants are all near by. If you rent an e-bike, not so far from Old Bagan. Thank u for the good stay:)!

Don’t waste your money here
Honesty extremely very disappointed. The staffing are under-staffed! You could be staying in line in a sea of backpckers for 20 mins waiting to ask a question. There was no tour of facilities given to me, I didn’t even know what was offered as a result I missed the bike tours and free spaghetti. The showers were cold. Do not book transportation here. The person in charge is absent minded and always on his phone. But the provide you the worst company and don’t answer questions about your concerns. For example, I asked for a minivan and if the bus was in good condition...they said yes yes . What I got wasn’t a old bus where they squeezed in as many people as possible. The bus couldn’t even brought me to the wrong location. Just book with jj express, or ask a different place for advice, because this hostel is not truthful with prices or conditions of buses company. Free coffee and tea....but always cold. Poor WiFi connection... Nothing really great about this place besides they have really good breakfast.

What a great place to stay
It was excellent. The hostel was clean and in a very good location. Staff were most friendly and helpful. They serve really good food too. Highly recommend. You will not be disappointed.

If you are looking for a place to mingle with other travellers, Ostello Bello is the place for you. Majority of the staff are helpful (not all) in helping with booking of tours and buses out of Bagan. There are various tours available with ample information provided by the hostel. However, one downside was the room had bad ventilation so it smell like the sewage and garbage. We had to leave the door open at times as the smell was too unbearable. Room temperature is pretty warm even at 18 degrees. Another negative point was the room’s floor was really sandy and there were belongings still in the room and not cleared. We travelled around Bagan using the e-scooter. Do not pay more than 5,000 kyat per day. We rented our scooters from the vendor outside the hostel. However, they kept quoting us higher each day so try looking at scooter vendors opposite or behind the hostel. Food from the hostel is really good and alcohol is really affordable too!

Owesome Ostello Bello!!!
My Bagan visit became especially good because of my stay at Ostello Bello! Jules and Julian at the reception are so friendly and helpful - I loved chatting with them! Christopher's day long bike tour was just Amazing - he is so knowledgeable on various subjects that it was awesome having him guide us all around Bagan. I met some amazing tourists too and spent time socializing at the free Burmese class they offered by JuJu. Overall I had just an amazing experience staying at Ostello Bello!

Better than Expected
I had read many reviews before choosing to stay here. I did not find the staff unfriendly or unhelpful at all- quite the opposite. This is a fairly large hostel, so it is quite busy. It is nice that they have a roof deck for those waiting for the strict check-in at 2pm, for showers and beds to rest. Food is good but expensive here. There is free breakfast and the hostel is well-organized for local tours, including sunrise and Old Bagan e-bike tours, yoga, Mt. Poppa, and sunset cruise. It is easy to meet other travelers and share experiences and tips. Some people complained that this place is more expensive that other places in Myanmar, but it is a clean facility and I thought was worth the price. I have definitely paid more for worst hotels in this country. I would stay here again. Be wary of all the smokers though.

Good location. E-bike rental shop and restaurant nearby. Helpful staff for booking transport and tours. Offer various activities e.g. sunset tour, boat tour, yoga group. Lots of common area for relaxing. But a bit crowded. Hot shower not so stable.

Excellent Hostels
This was the second (Bagan and Inle Lake) Ostello Bello hostel I've stayed in. Both were amazing. The staff at Bagan treat you like family. They are the best! The rooms (I decided to stay another night) and facilities were very clean . The free breakfast hit the spot and the menu for lunch and dinner had a lot of choices. Ostello Bello Bagan also had activities available. Some free (trivia and movie night - while I was there), some via tipping (free local tour (you provide the scooter and Tip what you feel is appropriate), and some with a charge (sunset cruise - Amazing! I did it twice). I would highly recommend staying at either Ostello Bello hostels.

Amazing Staff! So warm and friendly!
Every staff member was wonderful, ready to help make your stay the most wonderful stay. They always greeted me with a warm smile, a friendly hello, and a few kind words. They had their "A" game going on the whole time I stayed. That's my second Ostello Bello hostel stay (Inle Lake and Bagan) and I highly recommend staying with Ostello Bello. They hire the best! As far as facilities go both places were very clean, had a bar, good food, and fun organized activities to boot (the sunset cruise was so amazing that I did it two nights in a row and would have done it for a third time if one of the friends I met at Ostello Bello wasn't heading out ).

Probably the best in Bagan Among its type
Couldn't find any other hostel with proper hostel facilities like locker, luggage storage, social area, and etc and opted for Ostello Bello despite the price. The receptionists are always busy and it was almost impossible to get them. Room was barely cleaned as it was sandy both nights I stayed, feel like I could complain about this because the dorm bed isn't cheap at all. No hot shower is a joke because it's COLD, not even funny when it's cold season in Bagan and when I tried to shower after the sunset tour ended. If the above can be improved then this place is perfect. Met a lot of great people during the hostel's free sunrise and sunset tours (secret temples, shh).

Excellent facilities and staff. A lot of thought seems to have been put into Ostello Bello by people who really understand the needs of independent travelers. An excellent community as well. Property is a bit on the pricier side but I found it worth it.
