They left the side door open for the tweakers and homeless to hang out. Beds and pillows suck. Pillows are flat, matresses are worn out and springs stab you. They say there is breakfast... it is day old coffee and costco muffins. There are no shower curtain liners, so the crutain gets wet and water goes on the floor.

Room interior was impressive, like home . Bed is nice and comfortable. Continental breakfast, just had tea and coffee with toasted bread . Good enough for me . Whidbey Island is beautiful. It was a fine ride to all attractions from the hotel . Great ambience, walked to the beach.

We reserved through Hotels.com. The hotel called me even though I had set up the payment with Hotels and makes me redo the payment process. If you should say that you will cancel the front desk lady says they will charge you anyway. Therefore the confirmation and extra steps are not really needed if they can charge anyway

I always stay here. Clean hotel, friendly staff, owner operated. Within walking distance of all downtown activities and to the New park with beach access and family friendly. Would recommend and stay anytime I am on Whidbey Island

I stayed at this same hotel about 15 years ago and it was good. Not fancy but clean and pretty much in the middle of town. I booked again based on that and the good reviews. I hate giving bad reviews but I have to say this property is just old. Everything needs to be replaced, carpets, furniture, paint, everything. It is just worn out. Not dirty, but not worth the current ratings or price. The staff was friendly and professional.

A moderately priced and comfortable place to stay
We chose the Acorn Motor Inn for our recent weekend overnight stay in Oak Harbor to coincide with a visit to friends who live in the area. We were mainly looking for a clean, comfortable, moderately priced hotel/motel and the Acorn Inn ticked all of those boxes. The furniture and (huge!) bed were all very comfortable. The breakfast that was included, while not sumptuous, was fine for a snack to start the day. All things considered, we'd stay there again.
