When we drove up the drive had pot holes and unpavedthe place looked abandoned ans rundown. the reception guy was half asleepat our room the door was kicked in warped in shambles. pic of pool looked nice but in reality a fter flying from Mich to Cal the place had not been kept up in years. tried to call hotels, com to cancel but could not find a phone# the one we tried sent us in circles
Definitely not what I was expecting. We just needed a place to lay our heads at night and shower after hiking all day in yosemite.
As we were laying down for the night I woke up to hear scratching noises, so we looked around and found rat/mice poop all around. Even ended up finding it on the beds. I couldn't sleep in that, so I messaged them and they did offer to wipe it up but at this point it was late and that wouldn't get rid of the active mice.
We ended up sleeping in the car because all the nearby hotels were sold out. There is a bar across the street and the people were outside arguing until after 1am.
We were told we are in the mountains so we should expect mice, I've stayed in the area multiple times and have NEVER had to sleep with rat poop...
Check In was quick, lady was very nice. No deposit, no checking ID. We had room for five, but towels only for three. We get two more when asked. One bed was futon, but not sheets. We notice that late at night, so we didn’t go ask those.
Room was really untide.
Nice kitchen and view!
Beds wasn’t that comfortably.
Oakhurst was really nice little village!
The room was less to be desired. Bedsheets were stained, baseboards, and walls dirty. Dusty on floors and furniture. Shower was gross- chalking dark and dirty in shower- towel bar broken, toilet paper holder broken -yet pieces of it still hanging on the wall. Curtains appeared dirty. Exterior door hard to open and close and the lock did not work property. Overall I would not recommend this place.
The man at the desk was really nice, but didn't even ask for an Id. The room was unlocked and the key was inside. There was 1 small table and chair. There was a lump under the floor like maybe plumbing issues? The toilette was missing the rubber seal at the bottom and moved when you sat on it. Worst of all, NO HOT WATER! There was no one there when we checked out, just directions on what to do with the key.
We had a really nice view of the mountains and it felt pretty private. Lots of areas close by to explore and close to Yosemite south entrance. There is a saloon right across the street, which might be cool to some people.
I think they spend most of their money on their cabins lol

Needs a lot of tlc and updating
Owner was friendly. Rooms need a-lot of maintenance and TLC. Sheets and comforter needs replacement as well as the window treatments. Flooring was not clean. Needs an overhaul.
These cabins with big sitting room and full kitchen could be much better if the bathroom had several hangers for towels and clothes. Thus, no investment needed to improve the cabins drastically.
The photos on the listing are deceiving. The room was not clean. The bathroom smelled like sewage and there were mouse traps all over half chewed. The freezer and microwave were disgusting. The box spring was extremely stained. The room smelt like it hadn’t been opened for years. Not to mention the outside property was in shambles. No water in the pool, old chairs and furniture everywhere. We were not happy with the stay.
