Everything was fine until check out. I was doube charged and a lot of extra fees were added. I do wish there had been a decent coffee maker in the room and a microwave. Also, to get housekeeping service you have to request in advance like at check in. They don't mention that .

Our room smelled horrible...from smoke to weed to mustiness. The sink was also completely clogged. You also don't get refills on your coffee and tea without a request...and the water bottles are $9?

Sonesta is the 1st hotel I've been to where they do not clean your room unless you request it. And the request must be at least 1 day in advance. The hotel itself is old and tired, and the staff was not particularly friendly or helpful. Upon checking out, I had to ask for a payment receipt several times before they gave it to me. I paid $277/night for 2 nights (plus $25/day parking and $10/day facility fee) during move-in week for UC Berkeley, and it was definitely not worth the price paid.
