The strong points of this hotel are its location, the amazing staff, the gym, the pool, and the boathouse.This is the safest place to stay in a terrible city that is in the 10th percentile for safety in America. That means you still can’t leave anything in your car at all overnight because it will get broken into. Having said that, since this is 2 1/2 or 3 miles away from the epicenter of crime, which would be telegraph Street, the property is safe, though the parking lot is not. The rooms are extremely old, small and the bathrooms are decrepit. The Marina view is beautiful, except for the very ugly barge that sits right in the middle of it. The pool is excellent, the gym facilities are great. Overall, the Staff is outstanding with rock stars like Tanzania at the Front Desk and above all Sheila in the convenience store. The boathouse breakfast is excellent. Again the view was great and the staff is amazing.

The staff were very friendly and the property was overall nice but could use a little landscaping updates around the parking area. Also I’d change the towels because all of the ones we had over five days felt like sandpaper. Otherwise we liked it, we’ll be back.

Doubletree Hilton at Berkeley Marina

Toilet was clogged, one vanity light was out and furniture was generally old. The bathroom door was also broke and would not shut completely. Location was good but many issues with this facility remain.

Great location and nice room with the exception of the phone not working in the room. Service could have been a bit better when providing directions and providing towel service. Overall, very nice for the price.

While one side of the property is very beautiful with the boats docked/green grass and plants The side we we were roomed on seemed to have dated rooms. Parking lot view with dry grass. Also parking lot is noisy at night. We loved the morning staff. Kind and helpful. However the night staff didn't seem to want to do much of anything to help us. I like the location of this hotel, although we will be back we now know to try and book to be on the other side of the hotel

This hotel is right on the Marina. The views are amazing and it’s very relaxing. The rooms are very clean and quiet. We had a small balcony with a courtyard view that was really pretty. We will definitely stay here again!

Relaxed and Comfortable hotel

Relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. Clean and quiet hotel in a the beautiful Berkeley Marina. This is our second stay and we really enjoy the hotel. Good hiking and easy to get into Berkeley and close to the bridge to go to San Francisco.
