The person who checked me in was rather rude and didn't acknowledge my Platinum tier with Expedia at all. No perks or upgrade. She even gave me a room with a window facing a brick wall!

Nice, clean, 1 block from BART 12th station

I came for a business trip. I would recommend Hampton Inn Oakland on 11th Street and would stay again. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was good. It was conveniently located 1 block from the BART station at 12th. My only complaint was when I asked for late checkout, the front desk said yes, but didn't communicate it to cleaning staff. Cleaning staff were banging on my door 30 minutes before late check out of noon while I was on the phone with a client. A plus is they just got liquor license and will sell beers in lobby soon. I loved how they carried water for a decent price and flaming hot cheetos.
