I don’t need a lot to make me happy. I’m very independent. When I did have any questions, the staff was there to help.

Lovely hotel but we felt their focus is more on eco issues than trying to encourage guests to book. I’m not sure I liked the red light identifying our room as occupied. There were only 2 rooms occupied on our floor. Like previous reviews we saw no cleaning staff the whole time we were there! We could have booked cleaning but decided not to bother. The location was more important to us as it was just up the road from the station. The bar is lovely, quiet and the staff were friendly.

Good AC, clean, and quiet

Nice well maintained hotel from an era of wood and brass. Excellent staff and very friendly. Extremely well located within walking distance of the train and S Bahn.

Outstanding breakfast. Room very small but clean and good bed.

We loved how easy it was to take the S Bahn and walk across the path to the hotel. It could not be easier/shorter distance. Nicely maintained hotel. Lovely proximity to walk down Main Street of Echterdingen. In general the room was clean and comfortable with general amenities. Except the AC was not working and it was roasting in our room. We called the front desk as soon as we checked in and they told us just to wait, it takes time…we sweated through the night. The next day a German friend we were visiting called the front desk when she learned we had no AC. They told her they had some technical problems and would put a fan in our room for our second night. Somehow the AC in the lobby was working. In a hotel that size, were there really no rooms to move us to with functioning AC?
