Location was good! Right in front of bus station and subway stops. Very close to shopping areas and local markets. Staff were friendly and spoke English. Elevator available. My room was outdated and you could tell the walls and shower fixtures needed maintenance. For cleanliness, I had to ask for linen change because there was hair on the bed from a previous tenant. Mold and mildew were present in the room I stayed in, and traces of clothing particles like loose thread were on the floor. The good thing was working air conditioning, free waters for each day of your stay. Didn’t like the fact that they didn’t have full size bath towels, only hand towels for your shower.

Hotel was very convenient for travelling to different places in Busan as it was near the metro. Bathroom door doesn’t lock or fully close and tables and walls looked a bit old and not maintained well.

With only one day in Busan and a pre-booked tour planned, we chose Hound Hotel Busan mainly for its location. It is only about a five-minute walk from Busan Station, very easy to find, and extremely convenient if you are travelling by train. The staff were courteous and friendly, check-in was quick, and the room itself was neat, compact and very clean. We did notice a little dampness initially, but once we informed the staff, they attended to it. One aspect, however, left a bad taste. We had booked the room for four people — two adults and two children, including our three-year-old — but only three towels were provided. When I asked for one more, I was told that since the room had three beds/sleeping spaces, only three towels were included. Despite explaining that there were four registered guests, I was told an additional towel would cost 22,000 KRW. I found this policy very odd and frankly in bad taste. Charging extra for a basic towel when the booking clearly includes four guests is not something I have encountered elsewhere. On the positive side, the hotel also offers luggage storage, which was very useful for us. Overall, this is a clean, convenient hotel in an excellent location near Busan Station, but the towel policy definitely needs reconsidering.

After a rocky start being charged 20,000 won for early check-in, this hotel slightly grew on me. Breakfast was meager and my room was never cleaned in 3 days. The location very far from the sights to the east, about a 15-20 cab ride. At least they didn't charge me for a late check-out.
