A bit quirky but I like staying here. The Shamrock Cove is not a 5 star resort and is it's not the most glamorous place in town. However it is convenient, clean and comfortable. The decor dates back to another era, 1950s perhaps. But it is modern in that it has TV, AC, walk-in shower, microwave and mini-fridge. There is some traffic noise from Pine Street but not enough that I really noticed it. WAY LESS noisy than Motel 6! Check in is super fast and you can park right in front of your room.

DO NOT GO HERE. There was a hostile homeless person yelling in the parking lot and walking around constantly. Had to leave because felt extremely unsafe. The immediate area is not safe and on a loud and busy road. The staff were unwilling to help. Don't be deceived by the pictures.

Nice 2 night stay in Ocala.
Whilst on a busy road the noise in the room was not too bad. The rooms make a nice change from the generic motels throughout the USA. The folks runnng the motel were lovely and an easy walk into the rather charming downtown Ocala.

Great little motel in Ocala! The room was cozy and clean. Walking distance to the downtown area. There were snacks and waters available in the room when we arrived. The attendant was helpful and knowledgeable.

Good Location
We enjoyed the location, walkable to the downtown area. Our chosen dinner destination, Harry’s Seafood, was excellent. Providing coffee would have been a nice touch. Snacks and water were a nice touch. Used my white noise app to drown out street noise.

Rating maybe a 6, 8.8 Is a lie.
I don’t know how this got an 8.8 rating other than from family and friends. 1950’s, not remodeled, mint green walls and tile. One lightbulb in the bathroom, no ventilation or outlet, shower head at eye level, Toilet runs, sink backs up. The bed is comfortable, you need a stepstool to get into it as it is hip height. The microwave is on the floor, the only button that works is start. One nightstand, and the room is approximately 12 x 12. No place to hang your clothes. One outlet for charging anything outside the bathroom door. No phone to call for towels is there were none in the room, Had to make two trips cause they kept forgetting. Had to wash my feet because the floor was so dirty, wear shoes. Then there was the shirtless guy with tattoos, smoking outside my room And the plastic flowers. An 8.8 rating I expected it to be like the Hampton Inn. Not even Code compliant.
The AC unit on the wall. There’s an Electric fireplace for heat in the winter.
Microwave on the floor the only button that works is on for 45 seconds

The room was very small with no desk for a computer. Water flow in the sink was minimal. The shower was fine, if you are under 5 ft. tall. Bed was comfortable and wifi worked fine. Great location, however.
