Ok, I live off the reviews of others to help make my decisions about places to stay, but I stink at actually reviewing. However, in this case I had to share that I LOVE this property!! LOVE THE STAFF, love everything about this hotel!! Liz at the front desk is FABULOUS! (HR department; DO NOT LOSE HER!) The gals in the coffee shop are amazing (ask them about the chickens they raise). So glad I found this place as I’ve stayed here twice in the last few months. I drive from Naples to Gainsville to see my physicians at UF Shands hospital, so I love the fact this is 45 mins from the main campus and 10 mins from all the other UF Shands facilities located in Ocala. I’m typically a Marriott/Ritz gal through and through (have both a Bonvoy credit cards and membership) but I make the exception here. If you like a high end hotel with large rooms, glorious shower pressure, that is super clean, with exceptional staff that actually loves their job, then stay here! Extra Points For; -Walking distance to Riding Center which was great as we were able to catch a few shows in between my appointments. -Love there was designated spaces for the golf carts going back and forth to the Riding center. They are highly accommodating to visitors that are in town for the shows. -Gym was barely used & equipment in great shape. - Upgrade to the large balcony suite was 100% worth it. -Cleaning staff was incredible. -Management clearly cares about their staff as it’s reflected in the ppl they hire.

Property says it is dog friendly, but it is not. We checked in and less than 30 mins later we received a text from the hotel “Good evening, We have received several complaints regarding your dog's persistent barking. We kindly remind you of our policy, which states: "Dogs must not be left unattended at any time in guest rooms." Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.” We had not left our room except to unload our vehicles. We drove 3 hours to get to Ocala, and now my husband had to drive 3 hours to take the dogs back home. Had we known it was going to be such an issue, we never would have bought the dogs in the first place.

The property was good, clean, new. Decor fit the riding experience. The staff super friendly as you walk around the complex. Great coffee shop and breakfast but no restaurant to dine in. Also elevator was out for 3 days with no explanation.

Great trip

It was great. The property was beautiful and we got to see the horses at the stables. only downside was the elevators weren’t working because the hotel had gotten struck by lightening the day prior to our arrival. Our rooms were on the 2nd floor so had to use the stairs. And there was construction going on right next store.
