This was my first and last time at this hotel. I was very disappointed with being told that the room was ready but that checking in early would be an additional cost. I’ve stayed at many other OC hotels that have NEVER charged for the courtesy. Once I checked in, I was told that some of the parking had an additional fee as well. Luckily, I stayed when the hotel wasn’t fully booked, but I’d be very upset to be forced to spend over $20 if the other parking options were taken. Staff did the bare minimum in terms of customer service- they all had the attitude and tone of wanting to do anything but help a guest. Although this hotel has a semi-modern appearance, I rather spend my money somewhere a little more dated but with common courtesy. Never going back.

This hotel is so cute! The staff was all very nice and helpful as we lost our key once and another time it just stopped working. The room itself was great the balcony was so nice and a great view! The ceiling did have some mold or mildew on it and the in the bathroom too which didn’t have a vented fan. None of that affected our stay at all and we enjoyed the atmosphere perfectly! Especially with Crepe Daddy just downstairs for a nice coffee to go! Would stay again!

I recently stayed at the Monte Carlo Ocean City Hotel and had an overall positive experience thanks to the terrific staff. From the moment I checked in, the young lady at the front desk was amazing—very welcoming and made me feel right at home. The cleanliness of the room was impressive, and the oceanfront view was simply stunning, offering a perfect backdrop for relaxation. However, my stay was unfortunately cut short due to a disturbance from a loud party in front of my balcony. Despite the police coming three times to address the issue, the situation caused me a panic attack and an episode of anxiety, which significantly impacted my stay. When I explained this to the lady at check-out, she was incredibly respectful and empathetic, which I greatly appreciated. While the hotel's location and amenities were perfect, this incident broke my sense of relaxation, and I had to leave earlier than planned 4 a.m and I loss one day of my booked vacation. It's a beautiful hotel with wonderful staff, but I hope future guests can enjoy their stay without similar disruptions.
