The Sun Dek Beach House is a mixed bag. They are not above using puffery to describe their properties or rooms. While the location is walking distance to the beach, the pool and outdoor common area is kept nice and onsite mgt seems like they care, The property is not on the beach and water view rooms have no view of the ocean and are greatly exaggerated , though their description and pricing suggest otherwise. You might as well be in a room with no windows, you must keep all your shades drawn in your room to have any privacy. Your bed is less than two feet from an outside sidewalk separated only by a large window. Each room has its own water heater giving enough hot water for one shower. TV’s are small and old and internet service is minimal. Furniture is cheap and the roach hotels are there for a reason. I have reason to believe it is necessary to lock up your valuables when leaving the room. Ive stayed at many hotels some much more expensive and many less. In my opinion the marketing is deceptive and the price charged is grossly over inflated, if I pay their price I expect nice accommodations and experience worthy of the price and I did not get it, instead I left feeling like a victim.
