Watch for the $100 cash deposit
Property is actually EconOLodge branded, so it is difficult to find. $100 cash deposit required, good thing they have an atm on the sidewalk that charges $7.95 convenience fee. Gave me a room a mile away from the one set of stairs, that also had limited parking so a hike from parking lot to one stair case. Room so close to freeway i could hear every car and some radio channels. then lobby not open in the morning so management difficult to reach and told me I inconvenienced them to come to lobby to get my deposit back 10 minutes later.

It's an Econolodge. Close to freeway, gas station. Budget place but should be cheaper based on condition. Room was clean but old and neglected. Fixes could probably be done in one day but lack of pride of ownership shows. Paint mismatched, furniture chipped, missing parts. Shower had rusting metal from a broken shelf. Bad smell coming out of shower drain and had to place wet towels on the drain to keep smell from coming out. Coffee was not available until 8:00 a.m., not convenient for people on business that need to be out early. Only offerings were old apples and kid-sized, not healthy, granola bars. Apparently office itself doesn't open 'til 8:00 cause when I went, guy was in pajamas.

Location is close to freeway. Close to gas station, other needs. Is a budget place but should be cheaper based on condition. The room was as clean as could be but run down. Issues that could probably be fixed in a day but sense I got is that the place is neglected. Shower had funky smell coming out of the drain and had to put wet towels over it to keep the smell from coming out. Shower shelf broken and metal sticking out is rusting. Furniture chipped, missing parts, paint mismatched and chipped. Coffee not available until 8:00 a.m., not convenient for people on business that need to get out early. No breakfast other than old apples and child sized not-so healthy granola bars. No one was there when I went to check out.

Not the best, 1 night fine.
Water in shower was broken, impossible to get a comfortable temperature, valve seemed to be set up backwards? Bed was comfortable, room not the cleanest, hairs in bathroom/on towels. A/c worked well, tv was decent.

Scary area. Room was so run down and disgusting. Really an unsafe area. Homeless woman sleeping in the driveway next to hotel. Young thugs lingering outside our room in parking lot.

Horrible experience in Oceanside
They requested a cash security deposit because their system was not working properly. It took a while to get checked in. The facility was run down and the room was disgusting and dirty. There were stains on the walls and floors, the paint was peeling off the door and within the room. The floor was dirty and there was hair stuck on the walls in the restroom. Overall, I was very disappointed with Travel Lodge, seems their customer service and standards have really dropped!

The only negative thing would say is. The linen and towels had a weird smell. Not sure if it was because of detergent they used but was a weird smell. Also there was a weird smell coming out of the AC.
