We really enjoyed our stay, even though the weather wasn’t ideal, with cloudy skies and temperatures around 65–70 degrees— not the best for enjoying the pools or the beach. The rooms were clean and spacious, the property was well maintained, and the staff were friendly and provided great service. The food was consistently good, and I especially enjoyed the buffet, particularly the local dishes.

Everything about our stay was amazing! Food- it’s like any other place. They cater to everyone. You can’t have spice on food children will eat. I enjoyed not cooking, no complaints. Rooms are spotless. Staff really come together to put on a show for us. If I could return I will!

My stay at the RIU Resort in Ocho Rios was very disappointing. Customer service was extremely poor from the moment we arrived. We waited over two hours for our room and then an additional hour for our luggage to be delivered, which never happened. We eventually had to retrieve our bags ourselves. Upon arrival, no one assisted us with our luggage from the car, and no staff member provided any orientation or information about the resort amenities, restaurants, or services. We were left to figure everything out on our own. This trip was meant to celebrate a birthday. I made a request during booking for a simple birthday acknowledgment—such as a door decoration or even a slice of cake—but nothing was done, and no one followed up. The request went completely ignored, which was extremely disappointing and took away from what should have been a special occasion. The food selection was very limited and poor in quality. When we called for room service one evening, we were told there was no room service available and that we needed to go to the buffet area to get food ourselves. Overall, this experience did not meet expectations, and I do not plan on returning to the RIU Ocho Rios location. Rating: ⭐⭐☆☆☆ (2/5) Poor customer service, lack of assistance, ignored special requests, limited food options, and overall disorganization.

The room was cleaned, the bathroom had a few hairs in it on the sink and toilet. Some of the staff were very selective about who to be nice too. They seemed extremely prejudiced. There were lots of bees around the outside bar so it was difficult to stay around. The bartenders were also selective about who would get served first. The food was cold at times. The baked goods seemed to be the same everyday. Not too many options as the menu never changed. Based on the taste of the food. They have many different chefs preparing the same food items daily.
