Day shift desk person wouldn't check us in.

Honestly, the only issue we had was checking in. We arrived 2 hours before check-in. I know and completely understand when check-in tome starts. I have no problem with that at all. I did ask if there was any way we could check in early. The man working said probably not right then. Very nice, professional. The woman was rude. She just said NO, it will be at least 330 or 400 pm. Okay, I told her that was no problem and thanked her for checking. We left, came back at the start of check-in time arpund 3:00 pm. She told me no 4 or 5 times, very rudely. AS SOON AS SHE LEFT, the evening shift lady got us checked and and when she did, she asked if we had just arrived. I told her no, we actually got here early. And she said we should have been checked in when we first got there, as our room was indeed ready then. I promise I was friendly and acknowledged that I knew it was early and was just asking if it were possible. I'm not sure why this woman didn't want to check us in. Even after check-in time when she was checking numerous others in.

We stayed in room 103 The first night. We flew into OKC for a college tour at OK State University. Room 103 has old under a chair in the corner of the room farthest away from the room entrance door. I did not see this until the next morning when i was moving the chair. There is or has been an obvious leak in the wall corner. I notified the young lady at the counter when we checked out and she kind of blew it off and said Ill let someone know. We then returned a day and a half later before our flight out on Sunday. This was on the second floor (I believe 219) . Room had two issues a leaking toilet that cut in and out all night and I believe the starter on the heat/ac unit. When the thermostat called for it to come on it would try several times before it would actively run, but would never stay running very long. Something was definitely not right. I do have pictures of the white mold on the carpet and the displacement of the wall.

My room was a bit outdated but very clean and nice. Nothing wrong with that. The room rate was reasonable. Staff very nice. Courtesy van very convenient and took us to the airport at 4:30 am. You obviously would need to pre book it the day before.

A few minor problems. Light bulbs that were burned out. No daily maid service. Toilet that ran constantly. I can clean up after myself however it would be nice if they came in daily and provided coffee pods and sugars cream etc. I feel that hotels chains are still using Covid as an excuse to cut their costs and provide less service. The checkin and the breakfast were both great. Have been staying at this hotel for years and I am comfortable there

The staff was very friendly. Upon entering the room did have a bad smoke smell but it did eventually dissipate. The bed wasn't very comfortable for my back either.
