Hotel was nice, quiet and clean. Free breakfast was nice. The only negative thing I can say is that when they say breakfast ends at 9:30, they really mean it ends at 9:20. Went down to get breakfast a little before close expecting it to be picked over but it was all but gone. Staff had already started to break down the area, I had to ask someone in the kitchen for a plate. Had to ask again for utensils.
Got there at check in time which was 3:00 on a Friday afternoon & waited 45 minutes to ck in, (only one employee working) only to be told rooms not available. Took my number & said they’d text in about 20 minutes. I was polite and said thank you but we don’t want to miss our concert. Left for 2 hours to grab a bite to eat, no text from hotel. Went back to find a very long line, out the door of the hotel, of people waiting to ck in. Finally back to desk 35 minutes later & still no rooms ready. Every other person was getting their rooms just fine. Asked to book other rooms, and she said nothing available. Had to ask for a “key” to the lobby bathroom to change clothes for concert. Requested hotel shuttle & it never showed up. Finally called Uber. 2 hours later when we were all at the concert, got a text stating rooms ready. This was after 8 at night. Texted hotel at 11 & requested shuttle. Never came. Called Uber at 11:45. Got back to hotel, same employee working. Took another 15 minutes for her to get us checked in. That will be the last time I book rooms there.
The check in took over 40 minutes due to the property only having one employee working on a Friday. The property was busy due to a popular artist having a contest and a nearby cheer competition. The room did not have an ironing board nor a hair dryer in the room.
Check in was supposed to be at 3. I went in and ended up waiting 35 minutes in line to be told my room (which I booked back in DECEMBER) was not ready yet and I would be called or texted when it was ready. I finally called at 7:30 - 8:00 to be told they were just fixing to call and let me know it was ready. The next day my husband and I went out and did a few things; came back to the hotel only to find that our key cards did not work for our room. I had to go back down to the lobby to get that fixed. The key cards had only been activated for one night. We had a two night reservation. That evening my husband and I went to a comedy show. Came back to the hotel around midnight and was fixing to go to bed and heard screaming outside our window. (We were on the third floor) I looked out and seen someone throwing up in the grass. (I know the hotel could not help that) Our room had only an office chair or the bed to sit on. Only one trash can. The carpet in front of the elevator is torn and in not good shape.
Ac didn’t work in our room, it was 80 plus degrees with a 2 year old. Front desk told us there was nothing they could do. Finally GM moved us to another hotel across the street. Ac worked in this room, but they have charged me close to 800 dollars when it should have only been 303. Still fighting with them. But will never ever use choice group again. When I called to see what they could do. Customer service hung up on me.
The guy that was working, the counter was rationing. The coffee basically told me I couldn’t have no more, but wasn’t rationing the food. People could fill up their plates like they were feeding an army and take it back up to their room. One guy‘s plate was so over filling these spilt gravy all over the floor in the elevator, but you’re limited on coffee doesn’t make sense does it?
Bathroom door wouldn't close and latch, safe didn't work, ice maker was broken, shower curtain was dirty, couch in the room was covered with stains, toilet seat wasn't fastened securely to the toilet so it slid around, no counter in the bathroom (only a pedestal sink). Reported the door, safe and toilet to the front desk. None were fixed. Didn't know about the ice machine until our last morning there and when I went to report it to the desk clerk, the sign said they were away from the desk. It was hard to catch someone at the desk throughout our stay. The breakfast was hot, but they didn't refill food after about 9 a.m. Breakfast ended at 9:30 a.m.
One night stay, bed was so comfortable. Room was clean and comfortable. Shower water pressure was really low. Breakfast was just so so and the lady was not very friendly. Elevator had sticky stuff all over the floor and the carpet in the 3rd floor was dirty and ripped up.
