Under Construction

I booked this hotel because it said it had a pool. I had family come from south Texas to visit my 5 grandchildren. I booked it here online and when we got to the hotel was was informed the pool was under construction. Kids couldn’t swim and was bored and miserable! I think It should be on the website if pool is available or not! Very upset cause I couldn’t get a cancellation or refunded $ so we could have gone to another hotel where a pool was available.

Everything was good. Room was clean and bed comfortable. Only complaint was that the housekeeping staff did not replenish our hand soap and shampoo for our second night stay.

Hotel staff is rude. Room was tiny. Room smelled of smoke when i got there. Hotel visable from interstate but a little difficult to actually find once you exit. Will not be staying there again.

Better but not great....

Compared to our previous stay, there were improvements; however, there were still issues. The rooms still smell when you first walk in. Not sure why but when we asked they said it was due to the weather????? The room was clean as were the sheets and towels as compared to our last stay. The breakfast was better but still not great. They need better choices and variety. Staff could also be friendlier.

Disappointed

Room had a musky smell and there were stains on the comforter. The breakfast was awful. Nothing tasted fresh. We arrived early due to heading to an OSU game and we could not check in or leave our luggage. The least they could have done was hold our luggage. If we had a choice, we would not stay there again. Unfortunately we are booked there again and there are no other options. Hopefully they will make the necessary changes and our next stay will be better.

Clean and comfortable hotel in a good location.

This hotel was extremely clean and located within walking distance to multiple restaurants. The room was fairly small, but did have everything you would need for a short weekend away.

I needed last minute accommodations for one night near OKC and found this hotel at a reasonable price. A swimming pool was very important to me so I could take my children in the morning. The website advertised a swimming pool, but when I arrived at the hotel there was a notice that it was not under repairs. I would not have booked this hotel had I known the swimming pool was unavailable. Secondly, I was disappointed in the breakfast selection, sugary cereal, sugary yogurt, waffles with syrup, microwave eggs and sausage. They didn't have any healthy alternatives.

West end Blues

We checked in approximately at 4 PM. The room was the most western room of the motel. This was the hottest part of the entire building. It took about two hours for the room to cool down with the wall mounted A/C unit. The smell of the room was a combination of disinfectant and old room. It became immediately apparent that the first floor east rooms were much more recently renovated. I expect the upstairs Western treatment was reserved for Expedia members. Breakfast was fine. Hotel staff or pleasant.

Guthrie can do better.

Hotel looks nice from the outside and actually the room looked ok at first glance. But, closer inspection revealed that the room was quite dirty. Carpets were not vacuumed, bathroom floor had not been mopped, and there was mold in the shower. Beds were a "C". The fitness room was closed and had been for some time, although that wasnt in the details online. Pool was also closed. They should include that info on their site. All around it just wasnt a comfortable stay. Maybe ok for one night for a guy.

Not great! (1) When I checked in and was leaving the room, I discovered that the door would not fasten except from the inside. I reported it. Someone from the staff took a grinding tool of some kind and enlarged the striker plate hole sufficiently for the bolt to latch. (2) upon returning the first night, we discovered that the reading lamps between the beds had no bulbs. I reported this and was provided with bulbs at the front desk. (3) The cleaning staff removed the small portions of the used soap bars during the second day but left no soap in the room. This was discovered late the second evening when I returned. These were minor inconveniences, but for $112.88 per night in a small country town, I expected better. Oh! the breakfasts were excellent.
