The room was clean and very efficient. The staff was fantastic. They are friendly and kind. My only negative was the shower floor was quite slippery especially with the shower soap they provided.

Excellent location. Everything is within walking distance. It was built in the 14th century, most likely as someone's home. It is a boutique "hotel". The ground floor is a Michelin rated restaurant and the floors above have 1 apartment each. From the outside it looks like you are walking into a restaurant. Very interesting concept. We loved it. Food at the restaurant was amazing. Definitely NOT a tourist trap-like restaurant.

Excellent location, very clean and easy to access. Quiet despite being on a road where tram goes past. Good with communication pre arrival and during stay.

The hotel is in good location, however the room could do with a refresh ie new carpets and a quilt that fits over the whole bed instead of two separate quilts , the shower although look lovely very slippery floors and smelt bit funky ,the tea /coffee making facilities in the room a bit humble only enough for one cup or coffee and only one creamer ,probably would not class this as 4 star more a 3 star only ,also walking from the bedroom to the bathroom could slice your toe off as it has a sharp metal square edge

I recently stayed at the Metropolitan with my son for his birthday. I'd requested two single beds but was given a large room with three beds! It was very spacious and room service kept it spotless. The hotel is well located and is right next door to the Banksy museum which is well worth a visit. The train station is 5 minutes away and there is lots of good coffee shops and restaurants near by.
