I should have read the reviews. All the bad was still there: no AC, really ugly bathtub with what looked like mold but i guess it was delaminated fiberglass and attempted touch up paint. Room with two queen beds, allegedly “premium” only had one set of towels in the bathroom. Asking for more like pulling teeth. Eventually got two bathmats and two more washcloths. Ever dry yourself with a bathmat sized “towel”? Had to sleep with sliding “balcony” door open for air and we were on the street side. Knob missing on lamp so had to unscrew the bulb to turn it off. No hot options for breakfast, no hot water for tea or instant oatmeal. Asked for some but it never appeared. The cold cereal dispenser barely worked. The guy after me shook it and pounded it on the counter. Don’t know if he got any. Overall I would not recommend this property. Apparently the renovations seem to be an excuse for the property barely being “maintained”. And how hard is it to have enough towels for guests? I should have known it was going to be bad when i walked in and was informed that i had no reservation in their system. I even showed my hotels.com confirmation and receipt for payment. Finally he said oh here it is under Expedia. Seriously? Description needs to be seriously changed to the real situation here. No AC or towels! And the door to the parking lot is propped open; i guess in case it rains the homeless guy by the lot entrance can get in out of the rain.

They're trying, but it's rough

This hotel is in terrible shape. Staff are friendly and it's clear they are trying to turn things around, but we left after the first night and thankfully they refunded us for the 2nd. Location is great, very walkable to things, but many things were not up to a 3 star standard. We are a family of 5 so we booked two adjoining suites. They were not able to accommodate that upon check-in so we were on the 5th and 7th floors instead. The bathtub in both rooms had cracked and missing enamel, both drains had massive lime scale, and one faucet wouldn't turn off. The other tub had a dirty footprint on the edge (so clearly it hadn't been cleaned). The AC didn't work so the rooms were HOT. Both rooms were supposed to have a couch with a pull out bed, but neither did, so one kid had to sleep on the floor because there wasn't room in the bed for 3 people. Do not recommend unless you are in urgent need of a place to lie down for the night.

The A/C didn't work so the room was SO stuffy!!! Couldn't sleep. The bathroom shower/tub was literally falling apart! The whole place had a horrible smell through out it. Surrounding area was super sketch, definitely don't walk anywhere after dark.

my room was 82° with the air conditioning set up 65. I was told that all they could do is give me a box fan. They wouldn’t even move me to a different room.

Wouldn’t stay here again

Old and dirty. Shower/bath was falling apart. 2 big black bugs in room. One bed smelled like urine. Dirty something on the bed skirt. Key cards didn’t work. Back door to parking was kept propped open and felt unsafe and unsecured. Yuck. Only nice thing was how close it was to the park where I was running a marathon.

It was easy and affordable to book. But there were so many bugs in the room, not bed bugs, but so many dead ones and baby ones around the room. The pillow cases had a few stains on them as well. NOT a well maintained place by any means.

If you're looking for a fancy hotel, this is not for you. It's a bit rundown, but I understand they are planning a renovation. The staff were pleasant, and it was clean. It was conveniently located near transit and the performance venue I attended, and there are good dining options nearby. The only negative I experienced was that the room was a bit too warm, and turning the cooling to maximum seemed insufficient. By the time I returned to the room around midnight, the temperature had come down to 73° F, which was tolerable. Overall, the hotel suited my purpose.
