We really enjoyed our stay at JOIA Aruba Iberostar. The resort is brand new and is still experiencing some construction. With this, there was some construction noise that was a bit annoying. The resort was only about 2/3 occupancy, so chairs and cabanas were in abundance. There were only two open restaurants and the service was OK. The location for us was the key. We had access to their beachfront on gorgeous Eagle Beach. The staff associated with providing chairs on the beach were amazing. There were a few restaurants within walking distance that were very good. We took cab rides into the high-rise hotel zone a couple of times and cab fair was only $10 per trip. Our room was very comfortable and completely updated, a bonus with staying in a brand new resort. Bed was very comfortable. I would definitely stay at this resort again.

Beach process of getting chairs is inefficient and wastes hours of guests vacation time Massage at the spa was probably the worst i have had at any resort along with the intense noise of construction but guest services was very receptive and addressed the complaint. Staff are all exceptionally pleasant, polite, and receptive to all your needs. Resort is incredibly immaculate and clean

Very nice new hotel with a lot of potential. But the there are still many problems, such as leaking sink, not flushing toilet, air conditioning stop working, etc. all can be explained and excused as the building is only a few months old. However, the management is ineffective and inept. They don’t know how to manage problems properly. Calling the front desk from the room took over 20 minutes and eventually gave up and walked to the lobby, which is quite a distance and annoyance. Complaining to anyone including the manager is a waste of time. They either don’t care or not capable. Most of the staff is very nice and welcoming with a smile, especially the umbrella guys that work on the bench. But at the end of the day you feel like better management could significantly improve your overall experience. Will try a different hotel next time. It’s unfortunate because the building and rooms are very nice.

Everyone was so nice and accommodating at Joia. Thanks to all, especially the breakfast crew and also Kevin for exceptional hospitality. Our room was spacious, clean, and nicely decorated. The grounds were beautiful. Location fantastic. We had a wonderful time and will be back. Thanks to all!

This hotel had everything you could ever want and need to make it a nice little getaway with your significant other/spouse. It is so beautiful and the staff goes above and beyond to make sure you are satisfied. The rooms are amazing with a jacuzzi tub on the balcony. The infinity pool was so nice to look out at the beach while swimming. There are plenty of restaurants in the area and on site. The beach was easy to access and always convenient to find a spot with free chairs and umbrellas. They even have sun bum suntan lotion on the beach for you to use at your convenience as well as ice cold flavored water filled with fruits. We will definitely be back!

Wonderful staff and property. We were there for a week during the soft opening. There is still construction, but the property is beautiful. The staff went out of their way to make our stay unforgettable. Shout out to Jason (beach attendant) and Olga (housekeeping).

The view and the swim up room were amazing. The property however needed a few adjustments. The steep stairs from the infinity pool to the restaurant needs lights and rails..because it rains frequently the stairs were extra slippery and we had nothing to hold on to. The rooms fire alarm also went off at the most inconvenient times of the night for no reason. The restaurant near the beach with the ice cream shop also needed a few minor touches. The chips and plantain were stale and hard. The quesadillas had marinera sauce which is strange way to prepare a quesadilla. We were unable to get ice cream because the cones were stale and it took longer than 5 min to get new ones. The view of Eagle beach was the best part of the trip. The staff were also very friendly. Rene, Tyrone, Rich, JenJen were all very very accommodating.
