The view was utterly stunning and made up for losing wi-fi and older amenities. Staff was friendly and apologetic about the wi-fi, which I didn’t need anyway.

The view is lovely and staff was nice. But our room was so, so very tired. Old, dirty carpet and bedding. Housekeeping left no soap for the bath. But most of all, the room smelled terrible.

We enjoyed our stay here. Most of the rooms including ours have a great view of the river. We watched the pilot boats assisting the ships. Everything in our room was clean and in working order. Enjoyed the outdoor hot tub and the breakfast. We will come again.

Beds were extremely uncomfortable, very thin walls, could hear everything going on in other rooms, not all lights had working lightbulbs. LOTS of added fees onto the “agreed upon” amount. Also they DOWNGRADED my room without my consent and did not refund the difference. Very difficult to communicate with hotel.

Not a good start.

We got into town late that day …went out to dinner with some friends and got to the hotel by 11 o’clock at night. When we got there, we were greeted and then shown to our room by a staff member. When I looked at the building where our room was, I noticed immediately that all the doors and windows, including the walkway was all covered With tape and plastic as they were painting the building. When I got to my room, I had to cut through the plastic to find the door knob and open the door. It was very disheartening.

I loved the ocean view. The young lady at the desk was marvelous to work with. The sofa bed was very uncomfortable. Tried to sleep on those springs. It definitely should not be advertised as a bed to sleep on.

Nice stay

The motel advertised itself as a modest place with scenic views. That is a very apt description. It was clean, and the employees were very friendly. The views are absolutely stunning. The room felt a little outdated, but it was very clean. The only bummer was that we couldn’t get the fan to work at night when we wanted it, but it spontaneously turned on and worked in the morning.

Motel in Astoria

When we arrived late in the afternoon, the room was not ready because painters were still working, and door to room was taped over with plastic for spraying. When we finally comeback after dinner it was available, but hours late. BUT it had a million dollar view, but with noisy next door neighbors on their deck. They're doing some fixing, but it's a motel, and I guess I'm not used to that type of lodging. But found out Astoria is one of most expensive places in Pacific North West!!
