Pleasant stay in Astoria

Nice stay in this mid century (50s) decorated motel. Very clean, comfy bed, quiet. Nice offerings for breakfast. Close to highway and restaurants.

This motel has a lot of retro personality which is fun! It's right by the waterfront in Astoria, so super convenient to the waterfront walkway. I just walked down to the main downtown area to get food and shopping.

It was quiet for us. We slept straight and woke up in time for grab and go breakfast. Bought few souvenirs. Front end waited for us for check in as we were running late. Everything is ***** for us considering we have been traveling for a long time. The only comment my husband gave is he needs an elevator. He’s older than me but usually no problems. He just run upstairs that’s why he thinks he needs an elevator. It’s still a very good stay :)

Astoria Atomic

Good location, nice staff. The rooms are hot and need some sort of fan or AC. If you open the windows it gets smoky and loud. It also does not feel safe as they do not lock partly open and someone could easily crawl through them. They do allow pets so that is very nice.

This motel is just fine. Except if you are a light sleeper the street noise and the bridge noise kept us awake most of the night.

The staff was friendly and the room and bathroom were clean. The bed was not that comfortable and in showering, the water could go from hot to cold and vice versa without having touched the knobs. Seems like when people are using the water in their room, it affects the water temp in other rooms. I also wouldn’t mind being able to get into the office for breakfast a little before eight, say 730.

nice place. we loved the 50s theme in the rooms. the staff was friendly, check in/out was easy. quiet clean place, comfortable bed, not far from places to eat. we would book this place again

Loved the many details in decor, perfectly blended with all necessary modern comfort. Front desk personnel was friendly and very kind. Homebaked muffins for breakfast. A truly hidden gem!
