Expedia helped us book a room at the Lloyd Astoria when our original reserved 7 mos in advance hotel suddenly canceled our reservation 24 hours before check in during a festival week (screw you, Worldmark Long Beach). I got to admit, driving up to the Lloyd Astoria, I probably would not have booked this hotel on my own, but this is truly the little hotel that could. The staff is super sweet and attentive, the room was very clean. They have a warm, clean pool and hot tub that my little guy really loved. Their complementary breakfast was delicious with hot and cold options. Every room has a mini fridge for our ARFID food needs (IYKYK) and parking was free. And they even offer FREE Ivar’s smoked salmon chowder every night at 5 PM until they run out. I would definitely recommend this hotel, it is only a block away from the trolley museum and three blocks easy flat walk to the first trolley station that takes you right into the heart of Astoria. My very picky, neurodivergent little guy loved the place and he doesn’t say that about every hotel we stay at. We highly recommend!

Issue with our bathroom toilet not flushing or refilling. Our bathroom smelled mouldy and I think it was the shower curtain. Everything was clean and neat upon arrival. Staff were friendly but when I advised of issues upon check out all I got was a one word “sorry”. Disappointed for how much we paid I expected more.

It am usually not impressed with a hotel. I travel a lot and a hotel is a hotel. The Lloyd hotel proved me wrong. I’ve never been so impressed as I was staying at the Lloyd. The location, quality of the room, staff, and especially the little extra’s they do for the guests. It was truly a memorable stay and we will definitely stay there again. Definitely deserve 5 stars. (The smoked salmon chowder was very tasty)

This was a great stay. Room had a neat view and was clean, a bit narrow, but worked out perfectly for my little family. I liked that it was out of the way, not on a busy street, but within walking distance of the trolley. The chowder in the lobby every afternoon was the best I had on the whole trip.

It's a hidden gem. As other reviewers pointed out you do drive thru a U Haul lot to get to the property, which knowing beforehand made it easy to find. Room was comfortable, walks not super thin like some newer places. Loved the pillows! Highlights: staff, afternoon chowder, view if the bay, easy on/off access from 101.

Nice stay in Astoria!
Only there for the night, but it was a very nice place. Complimentary chowder and cookies offered during check-in. (Chowder was great!) Nice room overlooking bay... sort of... as best it could given distance from water. (We were 3rd floor and I'd recommend 4th and no lower than 3rd.) Really enjoyed the breakfast, although we'd have preferred serving til 10am vis 9:30am. Only strange thing... Our room floor felt uneven and almost squishy below the carpet in several areas. I suspect it is just an old building with uneven floor vs. about to collapse! :)
