This hotel is located right by parking lots for two stores. The photos shown are not fully describing the surroundings. Saw some homeless people, which is sad. If you are looking for a vacation stay, do not pick this hotel. The rooms are renovated, but I just checked out at 4 am and left. It is ok for one night if you need to crash but I would still pick another hotel.

Location was great! Room was wonderful: bed, pillows, blankets, bathroom, towels. Back porch by the water was amazing! Will recommend this place and will come here again in the future!

Hotel was good. Room was clean and large. Bathroom was large and towels were of good quality. Not a lot to do in the immediate area, but we were just needing a place to stay enroute to CA. Hotel was also quiet.

Staff is always amazing and very willing to help hot tub still broke after a year couldn’t use our deck at all. It was located right next to the exhaust of the pool heater very annoying walls clearly have no insulation can easily hear conversations of people next-door other than that very clean place.

Loved the large room & bathroom, comfortable beds, eco-friendly toiletries, VERY CLEAN (important!), big balcony with view, great customer service, upscale coffee/tea/hot coco machine in lobby, convenient location in Coos Bay all at an affordable price which I appreciate! I did have one concern which they said was in the process of being upgraded the entrance doors from outside to require key card to enter the building. I have stayed at three hotels in Coos Bay and will always try to book here first. Thank you Edgewater employees for the nice stay!

Don’t judge a book by its cover…

As we drove off, I was a little concerned as it doesn’t look great. However, getting to the room, they recently remodeled, and it was beautiful. Great view of the river. All in all, no complaints.

Property is pretty clean. Booked a room for 5 people, room had 2 beds and no roll away for the 5th person. They brought some sheets and pillows but had a rough night sleep on the floor. Hotel has multiple floors but no elevator. Cable wasnt working, they offered a different room or a discount. We were already settled in and didnt want to pack up and move. We accepted the discount, they told us to go through expedia, "they would approve it immediately", 15 minutes later expedia called the hotel, no answer. So much for that.

Cannot use the bathroom light without using the noisy fan and you have to select from 5 preset times. The showerhead is a rain shower type which is nice for relaxing but not great if you want an invigorating shower. And it is so high up if you are short you cannot adjust it.
