Very convenient, yet quiet location. Continental breakfast was very minimal, and I was very disappointed that the hot tub was closed. But everything else was excellent.

The building was being painted and all the windows were sealed with plastic on the outside. So no ventilation and no air conditioning resulted in a hot stuffy room.

If I could rate it less than a 1 I would!!! GROSS!

This place was filthy! We changed rooms twice. The first room was like a dungeon. We went to the front desk. We paid for an upgrade to an ocean view. When we got to that room, we always pull the sheets back to look for bedbugs; luckily, there were none, but the mattress cover had no cover on it. There were some blood stains on the duvet, which also had no cover. There was hair on the cloth chairs, the portable fan, and the floor was not vacuumed and had large stains. The bathroom toilet had eggshells in it, and the toilet paper and mirror were dirty. The pillow was stained; everything that was supposed to be white had a gray look to it. We called the front desk again. She removed the cost of the upgrade and then said, "I will put you in our suite with a king bed and fireplace." The stairs were leaning; let's just say it was a shady walk to get to the room, and the balcony was not any better. The microwave stunk, and there was splashed liquid on the walls that was not cleaned.Mold in the sliding door that we had to use 2 hands just to open! We stopped looking at this point. We checked the bed and went to sleep. There was nowhere else to stay; everything was booked! The bed was comfortable. The next morning, we spoke with another guest, and they had the same experience. Breakfast was hard biscuits with gravy; we had to ask them to refill things there also. The coffee was good; we settled for that.

My review is based on my personal experience which did not end in staying the night here. We arrived an hour after check in-waited in line to check in to be told I needed to wait an additional 15-20minutes and no hot tubs were working and only one grill with a full house on a first come first serve basis. So my number one reason I added this stop to our vacation was for our family to enjoy the hot tubs over looking the beach. We did plan to grill but didn’t realize there was only one so that was on me. The trees have grown up quite a bit in front of the hot tubs so thinking they will take care of that once they open the hot tubs again. After letting the family know about the no hot tubs they were very disappointed so I talked to the front desk when I came back and just cancelled our stay. When you’re paying close to $300 for 1nt in one hotel room I feel like you should get what you’re told will be there. Unfortunately the hot tub situation was out of their control and they don’t know when they will be up again. I would have really appreciated knowing this ahead of time so I wouldn’t have been in a tiny town figuring out a family plan. The guy doing the check ins was working hard and so was the lady trying to get all the rooms ready so I hope they can get it all figured out and are successful.

The view was beautiful and the room was spacious. My husband is in a wheelchair and even though it wasnt a handicapped room, there was plenty of space to maneuver.

The got tubs where broken. The ice mashines didnt work. I was told 3pm check in but at the desk told 4 pm so had to wait over two hours for our room to be cleaned. Got in room and it was still dirty. Trash swept under the table.

Requested 2 rooms and could not get them in the same building. Had 1 vehicle and separated 2 blocks. One room had dog pee all over walls, smelled terrible. Asked for cleaner or room freshener, got a No, don't have any and not willing to clean it up. Booked based on hot tubs with Ocean View. They apparently have been out of order for some time and also booked wanting Ocean View well in advance. That was also a No and that the computer just assigns room, can't help you. Overall, will not recommend or stay again...

I didn't like the coffee. They only put one packet of coffee in the room and a one shot pot. I liked it back in the day where you got good coffee and a few other amenities. It seems like traveling has become scaled back in terms of hospitality on the part of hotels and motels.

We stayed in the cottage room (it's actually the adjoining place next to the Gold Beach Inn called Ireland's Rustic Lounges). I felt like I was in a fairytale room. The walls were all wooden, and it was just a cute, neat little space.

Beware: Unsafe, Unclean, and Absolutely Awful

I genuinely wish I had read more reviews before booking the Gold Beach Inn. This place is not just outdated—it’s downright dangerous. The entry to our room had a sharp 4-inch step-down with no warning, and I nearly injured my already weak ankle. Even worse, my friend tripped on a broken, chipped step at the main entrance of our room. Safety clearly isn’t a priority here. Inside, the room was filthy. Stains on the furniture, grime in corners, and a disgusting fan that looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in years. It gave off serious “we stopped trying a long time ago” vibes. The room felt neglected, unkempt, and gross—definitely not a place to relax or feel comfortable in. Service? Barely existent. It’s clear they don’t care, and unfortunately, because it’s one of the few options in town, people keep booking. But don’t be fooled. This isn’t just a bad hotel—it’s a hazard. If you’re passing through Gold Beach, do yourself a favor and keep driving. Staying here was one of the worst travel decisions I’ve ever made.
