We very much enjoyed our stay at Holiday Inn Express in Astoria. The location was great right near/under the bridge connecting Oregon and Washington, but rarely did you ever hear it. Right on the water you got to see large ships pass buy, and they even provided a schedule. Each morning a complimentary breakfast was served. Also, there was an historic trolley stop right in front on property. Great view, great location, nice staff and clean updated rooms. We would go again.

No problems checking in around 10 pm ; the clerk really took time to read my request for a quieter room ( I am a very light sleeper) and lucky for us, she found a room on top floor. Room was clean, spacious ; nice tavern just across the street; a few nice dinning options for earlier dinner ( they close around 10 pm I belive. Nice breakfast at the property)

Notified when we arrived pool and spa down for maintenance. Night front desk person not helpful or personable when we checked in. The establishment was extremely busy with limited help. Management could have come out of the office to assist.

The staff was great and helpful. The rooms were clean and new. Disappointed with the difference we felt since our last visit. Even though they had remodeled and I usually like the modern look, it had a a cold and sterile feel to it. No bicycles available to borrow anymore and the homey feel was gone. The breakfast was average. It was pricey for an average hotel.
