A nice stay

We had a nice ocean view room. The bed was nice and definitely newer. Most everything was clean. The staff were very friendly and professional, I really appreciate when the front desk is welcoming like this hotel was. I do wish I’d realized how far the pool was from the rooms, and how far the parking lot was, the restaurant has extremely limited days and hours so they were not open when we hoped they would be. I do wish the seating on the patio was more comfortable, and easier to get into. The chairs and table were very tall barstools- I would definitely say no children in this room due to the fact that if a child got into the chair they could definitely go over the balcony getting out of those chairs due to the height. I’m sure the chairs were high to see the ocean view, but so uncomfortable and not relaxing seating.

The on site restaurant is closed Monday-Wednesday. So we found several places on the bay front in Newport that were very good. Bed was very comfortable 😴

I would give this a 5 star for everything but the property’s restaurant is only open Thursday through Sunday so if you don’t plan on leaving you will starve. I’m pregnant and had to buy a nasty frozen burrito from the lobby. This is a huge area of disappointment for me.

We were surprised by how pretty the property is, although our hotel needed improvements I think it’s still a good experience 5/5. There’s the prettiest beaches around here plus it’s quieter. It’s perfect! I’m recommending to my family to come here.

The on-site stairway down to the beach was closed. We were informed upon check in. They stated it was closed that same day. I would advise calling before booking to clarify if it will be open or not. We had to drive to get to the beach istead. It was inconvenient. Just a heads up to everyone. The room was average, and it was very much a partial view. The balcony was shared with our neighbors. For the price and no direct beach access, we would not book again.

Beautiful setting with well maintained landscaping. Loved that cars are left at parking keeping the rooms area quiet. The cart ride when needed was perfect! Nice extra touches in the room like magnifying mirror! Would’ve liked to known ahead of time that the restaurant would be closed during our stay but otherwise a wonderful place and experience!
