Charming Stay with a Beautiful View, but Some Clutter at the Entrance Our room at Jot’s Resort was very nice and exceptionally clean. We especially loved having a private deck with a view of the river and even a glimpse of the ocean. It was a perfect, peaceful spot to enjoy our morning coffee. We were delighted to watch seals playing in the water. It was such a cute and memorable touch. The room itself was great, but the front desk area was a bit awkward and gave a poor first impression. The building looks like a mix between a small country market and a closed-down restaurant, with dim lighting and visible clutter behind the desk, including what looks like a messy, tacky living room setup behind the desk. The parking lot also had some strange items scattered around, including an old boat, piles of construction wood, and a disassembled pickup truck camper. However, once you get past that initial area, the riverfront side of the property is clean, well-kept, and truly enjoyable. If you can overlook the entrance and parking lot clutter, the rooms and riverfront experience are absolutely worth it.

The view from the room is quite nice. We really like how spacious (King size bed with kitchenette) and quiet the room is. It would be nice if there is better quality silverwares, actual drinking glasses, and paper towels provided. Overall we really enjoyed our stay. Thank you from Minnesota.

While the walls are thin and the indoor pool area (with sauna and hot tub) are outdated, it was clean and the patio with view made our stay enjoyable. Strong coffee available early in the morning much appreciated as well!

I stay in Gold Beach many times a year, usually at Irelands. Jots is less expensive, location is good. Pool is nice amenity for kids. Concerned that there are no smoke detectors or sprinklers in any room. Beds comfortable. They repaired a clogged sink upon request. However, the unprofessional handling of an issue was disappointing. An employee made an error & gave my prepaid reserved room to a different guest at check in. They first said it was expedia's fault, then admitted they got the guest name wrong. Mistakes happen & at least the one employee admitted it. However, they said the manager would take care of it & to check back with the front desk staff. Every time I talked to employees, each employee told me the manager would take care of it. Finally at check out, I said I didn't feel comfortable leaving without knowing the status. The manager finally came out & said they'd heard something about this the night of the issue, but that this was the first their staff had notified them. They never apologized, & told me I had to call expedia to get it corrected. They tried to shift the focus onto their employees & then to expedia, which is embarassing behavior for a manager. It was unprofessional to shift responsibility & not acknowledge the error & to put it back on the customer without any attempt to correct the issue. As a small business owner in a town that benefits from return business & word of mouth, the lack of professionalism is not good for business long term.

The staff was very helpful and very nice, the outside of the building is dated but the rooms have been remodeled and were very clean. We had a room right on the river and loved it. The beds (2 queens) werr very comfortable Golds Beach is a nice little town but theres basically no restaurants at all after 8pm.
