Staff: The ONLY reason this stay is not listed as terrible is the staff are super friendly and the location is right on the beach. I honestly feel bad for the staff trying to do everything they can to help, but there was not a single person who I saw that did not have issues overall. Was charged in advance even though I selected pay at hotel, which 100% is a horrible business practice and the most common complaint I am finding. The property charged my card a day in advance without authorization, and when I asked why they blamed hotels.com and stated they did it, even though that was not the case.
The room we stayed in should not be rented under any circumstances. Carpet was torn, what appears to be mold in the corners, and old torn up furnishings. I would sleep in my car before staying at an OYO property again based solely off poor business practices and then lying about it. There are so many bad reviews about business practices when you look up OYO in general that I am baffled as to how they are still on Hotels.com? Truly feel bad for staff working there as they were good and tried to help. Having used hotels.com for a long time I now question using them going forward based off this one stay.
