People were nice. Hotel is well maintained but older side

This is an aged hotel the room was no better than a youth hostel and not cheap

Parking spacious and steak house outstanding

Uniquely run down and suffering from years of neglect. In the upper floors (>2) the walls, floors, and ceiling no longer enjoy 90° angles: off-putting and dizzying. No sign of the promised AC as temperatures rose to 100°F during the week. Staff seemed desperate for me to stay but I could never get over the impression it is a big firetrap. Room was as clean as the tattered carpet allowed, don't forget to check that extra closet for the toilet. If they seem puzzled you want to leave know that's an act, it happens all the time, don't stay in a ramshackle Magritesque hotel. Surving until breakfast (don't bother to nosh) is the only hope.

Great little hotel in the heart of Pau. I wish I had stayed here for my entire visit. The room was quiet and air-conditioned! The staff were friendly and helpful. There are only a few stair steps to reach the elevator. Bus stops and public parking nearby. Amazing restaurants everywhere. I hope to come back soon!
