We were the furthest away from the pool and everything else. The ice machine didn’t work on our floor on our end, also we didn’t get any housekeeping for our room at all so we didn’t have fresh towels. This was not a happy stay, very disappointed!

Photos online were very misleading to this hotel, was disappointed to be staying in a building that looked like it was under construction, room smelled musty and room was dirty when we got there dust balls all over the floor only plus side is that it was close to City Walk/Islands of Adventure/Universal Studios.

I didn’t get any sleep for the three nights. First the room is by the high way, it was so loud. Second, my room is next to the stairs, every time the door closing is like a thunderstorm or slamming, which shocked me and woke me up every time. Third, the room is like next to a cleaning room or house keeping room. I can hear the dish or equipment washing noise all night long. It was horrible experience to me. The door of the room is shredded at the bottom too. For the three nights, they didn't bother to come clean the room or take out the trash or change the towle.

Charge resort fees

The hotel was comfortable. Beware you might get stuck on a second floor with no elevator. If you’re looking for a hotel with a restaurant, this would not be the one. There are resorts around the Avanti that do not have resort fees, Wi-Fi fees, or parking fee. Not happy with the resort fee I’m not sure what it even was for.

You can do better. Look elsewhere.

Property is under transition. It was hard to find because the exterior sign is still the old property. All interior signange is still the old property logo. Room felt humid. Air conditioning did not cool the room very well. Shower had almost no water pressure, I had to stand over the drain for it to reach me. There was hair from a previous guest on the shower wall. The bed was hard. The sheets were scratchy.

The property seemed to be newly renovated. The staff was kind. Rooms were clean. Only problem was the morning of check out, I was trying to shower before leaving and the shower water shut off. When I called the service desk, they said they were aware, however, the problem was not taken care of before I left.

This place was not as advertised. The room walls were so thin the neighboring guests sounded like they were in my room. The temperature controls in the room did not work. There were holes and cracks in the drywall making the room look like a disaster. The bathroom was disgusting. They did not have shampoo or conditioner in the room only a bath bar that smelling like mechanic shop hand soap. I would not recommend anyone stay there.

It was okay but definitely not like the pictures. It was very dated with a new coat of paint. The biggest plus is the convenience and affordability. It is located very close to universal (just 1 5-min bus ride away) and it's not crazy expensive. Families with kids may like the pool area as well.

My group of 4 was looking for a cheap place for one night after a cruise, and just picked it bc it was so cheap but when we got there, it was absolutely stunning and beautiful. We arrived very early due to coming directly from a cruise and the staff made us very comfortable and accommodated us until a room was ready. Highly recommend.
