Overall great stay and great staff
The staff was very friendly. Rooms were tended to appropriately. We had a toilet issue that was fixed before we returned. Each time we asked for room to be cleaned, the linens were changed. Only downfall was the vent did not work in the bathroom amd when we opened the toilet top to check why it wasnt flushing, it had mold on the rim. The AC faced directly on one side of the bed making it difficult to stay warm on that side but was able to put my luggage stacked by that side to kinda block it from hitting so much.

Great universal studios location
Very clean and convenient to universal studios. We walked over the pedestrian bridge to enter the park. Super convenient and close. Less than a mile walk. Also close to a millers ale house and other eaterys. Checked in early , hassle free. Plenty of parking. Would recommend.

Nice staff, property is ok. Was given a room in a very noisy area, lots of foot traffic all day and night. Apparently the building has been having a problem with ants. Lots of them in and around the refrigerator, TV, and desk area. Budget hotel so not overly suprised. Free breakfast was ok. Universal shuttle picks up at 7:50am (park opens at 9am) and doesn't bring back until 5;30pm. So if you want to go later, have to Uber. Regardless of what they tell you, walking to Universal from the hotel is NOT convenient.

There were roaches in the room. Once we got in the room around 11 pm, we found a dead roach in the fridge. Then in the morning, we found alive roaches. This was a couple of hours before our check out. When I was checking out, I told the employee in the lobby. He thanked me for letting him know and explained to me that they would not give me a discount for such a situation. Pretty much he told me that I could have called them and they would have switched the room for me; even though, it was a couple of hours before check out time. When I told him I was sure this was not the only room with roaches because usually it would be the entire building or most of it, he said it was normal because a 20 year old building. I have been to many Best Western hotels in different cities in south Florida and it has always been a great experience, but this time, it was a very bad experience.

I stayed here for 2 nights I see a terminally ill family member. The first night we found 1 roach on the bathroom floor. The morning after there was another roach on the ceiling, later that night another roach in the bathroom. There were a bunch of tiny ants running wild on the night table from the moment we got in until we left. The sheets were clean but I noticed a stain on my bed. The property itself just seems older. The lobby has a dull, old smell. If that makes sense. The property need a major upgrade. I’ve stayed at other best western properties and this one just is not up to par with the others. I was disappointed and I’m glad I was out most of the day so I didn’t have to stay there. Once I saw the first roach I was turned off completely. You guys need an exterminator.

Worst experience of our lives.
When we arrived at the hotel we realized that the parking lot was being used for a music festival. There was no parking available anywhere. Upon checking in I asked if we could leave our car by the front door and was told only for a little while. After realizing that the problem was only getting worse as people continued to pour onto the property, we decided to leave. We were told that we would not be refunded for the stay because the parking situation was out of the hotels control. We will never stay at a best western again. This business cares nothing about customer service. There is no way a person can stay at a hotel where there is no place to park their car. If they are going to use their parking lot for local events, they need to close the hotel in order to do so
