Favorite resort!

Our favorite place to visit every year. Smaller, friendly resort atmosphere. Many improvements since last year too. The only critique I have is bar food no longer good quality. I hope they consider old menu/ingredients because we only ate here then. Now we will eat somewhere else or order delivery. Bartender still top notch service and attitude! Staff is outstanding.

Fantasy world reaort

Nice family condo. 2 bedrooms. Great to travel with kids and grandkids. Love the pool and lazy river. Tons of activities for the kids. Annotated but great for the money. Has a full kitchen and 2 bedrooms and living room. Great for a getaway with kids and my grandkid.

Waterpark was shut down and we weren’t notified

The room was fine other than some type of roach/bug but we only saw one downstairs so we didn’t panic too much. What really upset me was the fact that they KNEW their water park would be down for maintenance during our stay and rather than notify us in advance, they let us know at NOON on the DAY OF OUR ARRIVAL. They didn’t even offer a discount but after my frustration they waived the $35 resort fee which was a joke. When a family is taking a trip to FL from out of state, they need more time to look for other accommodations. This was greed and very unfortunate how they handled it.

They have construction going on the room was okay you cannot control the AC temperature yourself you have to call the front desk and ask them and there is barely no hot water only for about 1 minute then you're taking a cold shower

No heat, be aware!

The unit was spacious and served our purpose for a one-night stay. However, the heat didn’t work!! It ranged from 57 to 62 degrees inside. The blankets were extremely thin. We had to put on our jackets to go to bed, and we were still COLD! When we checked out, we told the front desk about the situation, and there was no apology. Overall, it wasn't a pleasant stay.

First I will say the Villa we were given was comfortable and clean, the guest service was friendly, However when I arrived there was a sign on the front desk stating the main pool, lazy river, and slides would be closed for the duration of my stay. Those were the reasons I chose this resort over locations so to say I was severely disappointed would be an understatement, then to add to the disappointment I was charged the full resort fee even though the biggest without any offer of a fee refund. For this reason I would choose a more reputable place to stay when I'm back in the area.

I chose this because of the positive reviews, space offered for families, great value and amenities on site. We used the hot tubs alot, the weather didn't allow for pool use. It was nice to have a condo with 2 rooms & 2 bathrooms. Downstairs was new & updated, upstairs (esp bathroom) wasn't. New toilets would help. One review mentioned the floors were not super clean and left dirty socks. I agree with that and the whole place could use a good deep clean. But overall, it was clean, especially the kitchen. There is no towel service or cleaning without request, but we didn't need that. Loved the king bed and pillows, super comfy! The sofa bed, not great. My son preferred the couch cushions. The staff were all top notch, very nice and super helpful. We had one maintenance issue and they responded right away. FYI the park shuttles do not have park matching hours. We used Uber more than we planned/budgeted for. Plan for $40-50 a ride for a family but Uber is easy and fast after a long day. There are a few food options within walking distance of the hotel but walmart is not. We did walmart delivery easily though. The onsite food/coffee bar was limited. Would stay again!

Decent, budget friendly option for families

Fantasy World is currently a mixed bag. There is some updating taking place that will likely bring some improvements, and it was a decent value for what we paid, which I assume was somewhat discounted due to the construction taking place that impacted the experience and limited some amenities. The pool is very nice and the staff in the activity center were kind and accommodating. We wasted a fair amount of money on arcade games that didn't work, but didn't bother to follow up as our stay was relatively short (3 days). The service orientation of the staff varied quite a bit. Shiloh was outstanding, as were the staff that greeted us upon arrival, going well above and beyond to provide meaningful assistance, while some of the other staff were less than friendly. Our questions and requests received prompt responses, but some front desk staff - and a female life guard at the water slides - were oddly chilly to us. Very minimal cooking gear in the kitchen, but we eventually discovered that more can be provided upon request. Comfortable but dated condo. A very old, dirty & barely functional broom was provided & some kitchen cabinet handles were broken. The toaster was junk and the dryer took FOREVER to dry even a small load of clothes. Room temperature is controlled by the front desk, which complicated things in the evening as we prefer cooler temps for sleeping and guests are not able to 'fine tune' the temp without a lot of interaction, so we opted to open windows at night.
