I booked a stay at the Gaylord Palms Resort to celebrate my 20th anniversary, expecting a luxurious experience. Unfortunately, it was anything but. From the start, I encountered serious issues that took away from what was supposed to be a special occasion. First, I found a roach in my bedroom, which made me question the cleanliness of the entire room. As if that wasn’t bad enough, there was no hot water in the shower—a basic amenity you’d expect from any hotel, let alone a high-end resort. To make matters worse, I couldn’t reach the front desk through the room phone, leaving me feeling stranded and unsupported. Despite the beautiful property and amenities, the quality of my stay was significantly diminished by these issues. The Gaylord Palms Resort needs to prioritize cleanliness, functional room amenities, and reliable communication with their guests. I hope they address these issues for future guests, but sadly, it spoiled what should have been a wonderful anniversary celebration.
