Close to Disney Springs, But Losing it's Luster

We've stayed here many times as a family (Disney trips), mainly because of its proximity to Disney Springs (the pedestrian bridge is great). It's close to the parks (you get "early entry" since it's a Disney hotel) and you can walk to DS for shopping and dining. The pools are great, though it was too cold during this trip to use them. We requested a room on a "renovated" floor since we've stayed in their older rooms which are pretty rough. We had to upgrade ($50-ish dollars) because none of the renovated rooms were ready when we checked in at 3pm. Stayed on the 9th floor. Bummer, but no biggie. The room was adequate - not spotless, but not filthy. There was already significant wear and tear (dirty tile, holes in walls) which stinks since we paid extra for a newer room. The biggest change from our last stay (September) was that you have to wait in line for a coffee cup. They used to have cups available on the counter in the cafe (in-room coffee is gross). There were about 25 people already waiting, so we left to make our early entry at the parks on time. Another disappointment It'd be great, especially since we're paying so much for "resort fees" if these amenities were more easily and quickly available. In the future we'll probably stay at Drury which is about the same cost and you get a free breakfast BUFFET, drinks, snacks, etc. It's worth the short drive and parking in the Disney Springs lots for newer rooms and better amenities - especially when traveling as a family.

Got to the Hotel and had to pay an additional charge I didn’t know about then get to our room entry and the outside of the door carpet was really dirty, only in front of our room 200. We get inside the room and it literally looked like the maid service cam in and refreshed the bed and towels! The floor did not get vacuumed before we arrived and the tv stand still had someone else’s chip crumbs left on it. Hair all around the bathroom floor and tub. I have stayed here a couple other times before and this was the only time I have ran into this problem! Other than that the food is amazing and the bar staff is amazing! We love it at this Hotel and we will be back!

Just ok...Good location but outdated property

The hotel's location makes it a great place to stay to visit Disney. The rooms were big but otherwise I felt they were old and the bedding reminded me of a 2-3 star hotel. The staff was good but definitely didn't feel like a 4-star property. Overall I would say, good location, good staff service, clean enough but outdated property. Would probably suggest for someone on more of a budget but wants those Disney perks.

Great Location, but needs repairs and updates

Booked two rooms and sent a direct message to the hotel to please make sure they were connecting rooms. Arrived at the hotel, and they didn't get the request and had no connecting rooms available, so we had to split the family in opposite wings of the hotel. We were told to check the next morning about the availability of connecting rooms. We were told that there were two rooms available and they would be ours when we got back from our trip to the parks. When we returned, we were told those rooms had never been cleaned and were not available and given other adjacent, but not connecting rooms, one of which had a heavy smell of cigarette smoke, so had to go back to the front desk and request different rooms, which we finally got the connecting rooms we wanted. The staff was great at trying to resolve the situation, but overall, the first couple of nights were not a great experience. My wife and I used to stay at this hotel regularly when my son was little and hadn't gone back in a while. The rooms are pretty dated and worn. The standing lamp in one room didn't work and the drawers in another room wouldn't close and one facet was dripping continuously. Overall, this hotel has a great location but is badly in need of repairs and updates.
