During initial check-in for a two day pre-paid stay, I was told that they could only assign a room for one night. I would be required to completely check out the next morning and that they would re-check me in in another room the second night. I could not get a valid reason or need to checkout. I was uncomfortable with checking out of our room, no reason was given and no guarantee or new booking number was given. I decided to stay in my room as assigned and not leave. We found out later that the hotel was overbooked and that three large college swim teams had been given priority block room assignments. I cannot prove it, but with the massive confusion, I am convinced that has i left the room, there would have not been a room for me on the second night. In addition, the a/c quit working in our room for a couple of hours on the first night and suddenly came back on. Also, the hot water ran out. Not a good experience. The hotel added stress to our trip that was unnecessary and unwelcomed

The room was clean, desk staff was very courteous., (only one)The experience on my first time staying at this property I encountered a computer system failure, property does not count with a lounge on premises where guests can oder snacks/ drinks or a nice area with comfortable sofas/ couches after a long trip. No area to store luggage when this type of situation occurs. Also the aroma at the lobby was not inviting. On the other hand the location was great very walkable.

This was an unbelievably terrible experience. Despite having made the reservation three months in advance, the male receptionist offered absolutely no solution. He simply stated that he could not find the reservation and told me to contact Expedia. The booking was clearly confirmed on Expedia and had not been canceled. When I showed him the latest confirmation again and asked him to double-check, he then suddenly claimed that the reservation had been canceled. He proceeded to offer an alternative room at an outrageous price. As a result, our family’s four-day holiday weekend trip was thrown into chaos, and we were left without accommodation on a Saturday night, when no nearby hotels had availability. We were forced to drive one hour north to a hotel in a remote area that was more expensive and of lower quality than the original hotel. After the fact, we were told that the reservation had been automatically canceled because the credit card was not charged. If that were the case, we should have been notified immediately by email or through Expedia that the reservation had been canceled. Had we been informed even one day earlier, we would have had more than enough time to secure alternative accommodation. This level of service is completely unacceptable. I will never stay at Holiday Inn again, nor will I ever recommend it to anyone.
