You get what you pay for

No facecloths. Half the property is shut, the part that is open is circa 1969's Bates Motel. However it is under $50 a night so what do you expect? Tiki bar, in-house dining and pub all closed. The only Lakeview there is, you can't get to because the walkway is closed. But again, it's $50 a night!!

I don’t know how this place is allowed to remain open. It is run down with the majority of its rooms broken into. If you can think of the worst possible scenario then times that by 100 you have this hole. We were not the only ones that couldn’t stay because when we went to leave there were more ahead of us checking out whom were more vocal about their dissatisfaction

Horrible place

This place was so disgusting and in such bad shape we had to stay at another hotel. The first room had a smoke alarm dangling down and the door was badly dented that we couldn’t get out of our room for 10 minutes. We went down to desk and they gave us another room and it was worse than the first. It was dirty, no smoke alarm, cigarette burns and ashes on the tables. We left and stayed somewhere else.

This was the most disgusting property we ever visited. Dead cockroach in the room, mold all over the entryway to the room on the ceiling as you enter the room. This does not even count the amount of bird droppings outside the entrance to the room under the light. We didn’t even stay there, we had to rent at another hotel for our stay for the 2 nights. Just an awful experience. The hotel needs a complete makeover.

i feel like if i was catfish when it came to this location we were so happy when we booked via expedia it was a great deal. when we got to the place the lobby area looked decent so in my mind the rooms and area would be as well.i was very wrong as we drove to the building where they gave us the room our face expression changed drastically. they send us to last building it look abandoned, dangerous and dirty !! as we approached the room we notice the door next to us looked like it was kicked down but it got worse when we looked towers our room aside from a big water bug who greeted us the curtains were broken there a hug blood stain on the rug right by the entrance of the room. my daughter was terrified i rand to the grab the phone in the room to call front desk the phone was not even working !! we had to drive back to the front desk since they placed us on the last building. i expressed everything to the resectionist and showed pictures and told her we did not feel safe to please give us another room close to the main lobby she took notes dint even apologized she placed us in another room closer on a second floor honestly not much of difference as we go up the stairs it was dirty garbage all over the room was a bit cleaner the phone ones again was not working i had to used my cell to call front desk after 10 mins someone answer i had to ask for clean towels. we decided to stay for the night since it was pretty late and we had already drove 17 hrs from NY. we left a day early.

Waited three hours in a line to be told I needed to pay a fee, at this point in time I needed to go get my wife from the airport, I came back, and was told a different amount needed and they were out of rooms to come back in an hour, I came back ans they made us wait till 11am and then 3 and then 4 and when I asked for a refund they said no, dont stay here

Don't expect a Resort.. Always a long line for check-in, even at 11pm (2 hrs wait).. Check-in staff favorites certain people and bumps them up the line in front of everyone else.. Rooms are old and poorly maintained.. You get what you pay for (oh and don't forget the $25 per night Resort Fee that everyone has to pay even is you prepay for everything else!!!) If you don't mind those things (I don't really mind because we only use the room to shower and sleep) you won't mind staying here. This was my second stay and probably not my last.

This was an experience. I thought I would try the Maingate Lakeside Resort out because it was cheaper than the other options but I won't stay there again. Usually I'm not too picky about my hotel because to me it's just a place to sleep while I go about my day. First the Pro's about this property: The bed and pillows were comfortable and the property looks nice upon arrival. It is also reasonably close to Walt Disney World which was why we were in Orlando. The Cons: Check-in was interesting. If you've ever seen Zootopia, there's a really nice sloth that works at the DMV who moves painfully slowly; well, the gentleman that checked me in matched that description perfectly. He was a nice enough guy, but for a little while I thought maybe I was being pranked. It was by far the slowest check-in I've experienced in my life. Add that to the $26 per day resort fee I was not aware of and check in was not the best experience. Another problem we experienced was that upon returning to our room at 9:30pm, there was no hot water for a shower. None. It wasn't even warm. My guess is that was because everyone was doing the same thing we were - getting back from the parks and then taking a shower but, again, I can't remember the last time I had no hot water at a hotel. Another problem we experienced was I had 2 spiders and 2 small beetle-type bugs in my bed that I had to kill as they were scurrying around. Finally, there was a really sketchy guy in the parking lot when we checked out at 3:30am
