The hotel is in the middle of all the shopping and dining so very convenient. Very historic but the owner(s) needs to put some serious money back into this place. The mattress was terrible. Lightning throughout the hotel was pretty dark. While it was lovely to sit out on the balcony later in the afternoon and enjoy a glass of wine, it could have used a good pressure washing and maybe little partitions in between each room for a little more privacy. Only 3 electric plugs in the whole room which was just enough for my husband to plug in his cpap machine and a small side table fan. He had to charge his phone in the bathroom which you have to leave the light on for it to charge. I was left with not being able to charge my phon for a little but the next morning. The real issue was THE PLUMBING. I usually take showers but after a long day of strolling I decided to take a nice relaxing bath only to be met with the stopper being stuck so you had no choice but to take a shower with half the water coming out of the shower head and the other half for the bath. The shower head also looked liked it was about to come out of the wall. I have septic in my home so I’m always mindful about how much toilet paper I use but even still the toilet got clogged up. I really hope the owner(s) read this review and put some money back into that hotel. It would be beautiful.

103 year old Treasure

This hotel is a great historical place with wonderful history. The hotel is handicap accessible, but the elevator is small so get your navigation skills ready. Staff were over accommodating. Some touch up paint and a good cleaning on the balcony would be a refresh for this 103 year old treasure. Close to the train, beautiful park with rose garden, shopping everywhere on the street and restaurants that treat the palette just a few steps away.

This is a nice historic hotel located right in the middle of downtown Winter Park on Park Av. Valet parking is a must. The standard room ( what we stayed in) reflects the basic nature of rooms from the past. The A/C is very quiet and queen sized bed comfortable. If you are going to stay very long, spring for a Suite w/King-sized bed and a sitting area.

Location was great right on Park Ave. Hotel was fine, some personnel were rather rude which started the stay on a sour note. Next door neighbors were VERY loud but ear plugs are supplied in room.

Loved the charm of this hotel. All fine but would have liked robes in the room. The outside balcony where chairs were was very messy and not swept. We had the room overlooking park and it may have been more pleasant if there was not a big bag of laundry and a number of buckets to the right of us. Maybe you do bot have a lot of storage there but these could have been more hidden.

The historic charm and prime location of this hotel make it very appealing. However, during my Saturday night stay, I discovered that it’s located right next to a Mediterranean restaurant that turns into a nightclub in the evening. With the windows left open, the noise was constant—so if you’re hoping for a quiet night’s rest, this may not be the ideal place to stay.

Charming historic hotel in downtown Winter Park

What a great location! Spacious rooms. Coffee and tea service in lobby was terrific! Loved sitting in the balcony in the morning and evening. It’s a historic hotel so, yes, it’s a bit dated. But the features were overall great. Slept well!
