We loved our stay. It was walking distance to the subway, restaurants and shopping. There is a small grocery store in the back which was very convenient. The best breakfast buffet. They had everything you can think of. I’m missing their veggie quiche. The onsen was so relaxing and laundry was convenient. I recommend this place.

The hotel is not directly accessible by cab. It is fine on a clear day but was terrible if it rains. On top of that, the hotel has no in house restaurant or in room dining services, as a result, we have to look for restaurants outside of the hotel in the rain. This is extremely inconvenient since we are not familiar with the surrounding and it was dark as the day is short in winter. The services rendered meet basic requirements and the room is clean. Mimimal language barrier.

Hotel Monterey - a great hotel
Checking in at the Hotel Monterey Le Frere was a very straight forward process! Elevator brings you to reception immediately. Because of it's central location in Kita Ward it was a very popular location. The hotel and the room was very clean and spacious for chain hotels of this nature. With a Lawson and a pharmacy in the same building space, convenience was at an all time high. I would gladly stay here again it was a lovely experience.

I really enjoyed the area it was in; right near Osaka station, around a lot of dining options, with a drugstore and convenience store right at the property. The hotel itself was clean and the rooms were always kept in very nice condition with the cleaning services frequently visiting. I would definitely stay at this property again.
