Excellent Stay in Hotel Monterey Le Frere Osaka Everything about this hotel was wonderful! The location is unbeatable — just steps away from Osaka Station, making it easy to access trains, shopping malls, and great food spots all around. It’s truly in the perfect area for exploring the city. The hotel was very clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the service was excellent. I had a fantastic stay and would definitely return. Highly recommended — 100% satisfaction!

Clean room, friendly staff, convenient location. More laundry facilities would be helpful for the size of the hotel, as 4 washers and 4 dryers is not a lot. One person had taken over 2 of the dryers while our clothes were still in the washer and we had to take the wet clothes up to our room to hang them up

Easy access. 10 minutes walk from JR Osaka station, even it's rain, no problem, because 99% of the route can be under ground road. And Osaka number 3 building is just beside and so many restaurant which can enjoy Osaka taste, are under ground level 1 and 2 are in it. Can not forget the big public bath is in this hotel and open even early morning (e.g. 6am) to mid-night (see detail on the web site of Hotel). The japanese famous convenience store is at the first floor.

The staff cleaning the rooms seem to have no set pattern of things that they do. Sometimes they would empty the garbage into a bag and leave the bag or not empty the garbage at all or leave the cups and glasses piled up uncleaned. The hotel was okay but service wasn't. Won't stay here next visit

Pleasant stay at Hotel Monterey Frere. Easy to get to from Osaka station by foot. Many dining options within a one block radius of the property and even more beyond that. Only concern is elevator availability can be delayed during peak times. Otherwise would come back again if I find myself in Osaka.
