Nice hotel with great courtyard bar. Clean and comfortable with friendly staff. Very well located only 5 min walk from central train station and easy to get to other sights. Breakfast was very good but the seating area is not big so can be a challenge, particularly later in the morning when the place is very busy. Luggage storage is problematic as there is very limited space. Room is not controlled and we saw a literal mountain of bags thrown on top of one another. Fortunately we were able to find proper bag storage (for a fee) one block away through the Bounce app.

Hotel doesn’t have daily house keeping. Little noisy in the evening because of bar and clubs. Couple of things were broken, washroom is very small nit suitable for family.

No Air-Conditioning, Noisy, Building Works and Dus
Tiny rooms, where we could barely shuffle past each other to get dressed/function. Clearly for solo travellers. It was 26 degrees Celsius and reception informed us on the last day that the air conditioning was broken in the whole hotel. No apology was made by the hotel and there were only a few desk fans available on request and so we did not have one for the first night. The sticky, hot, sleepless nights were compounded by the building work and noise. We tried to sleep with the window open so as not to overheat but loud partying kept us awake into the early hours of the morning. There were also major building works going on outside of our window and so our room quickly became full of dust. On the week day of our stay the building work started up at 0630am with the crashing of glass. Some of our friends were in rooms where the window did not open at all and with no fan! Their room quickly became hotter than outside and the hotel corridor!

We checked in at 11pm and got the last room. It was on the 4th floor, the air vent was barely blowing and the room was VERY hot. Hotels in Norway have no air conditioning and the full height windows in our room were sealed shut for safety. We asked for a different room with windows that opened, but there were none available. We suffered. Lesson learned. Do not arrive at 11pm and expect to get a decent room.

The hotel is in a well-placed, central location. The breakfast was excellent. The bed was comfortable. The room was really cramped and had virtually no storage space of any kind so we lived out of our suitcase and just about managed to fit it under the bed. We basically had to put most things on the floor because even the bedside units were too small to put much more than a glass of water and a mobile phone! The hotel information on Hotels.Com said there was a desk and chair in the room; there wasn't (because there wasn't space!). It also stated there was a laundry; there wasn't, there was just a facility in a sister hotel some 20 minutes walk across town. The staff were OK but grumpy that we didn't try to speak Norwegian, which I guess I can understand.

Very conveniently located in city centre all attractions in easy walking distance. Hotel was modern and in good condition. Room was a let down, far too small, lack of storage to clothes, fresh towels and cleaning was by request only. Breakfast was ok but lacked variety. I would have expected better for the money we paid for our three night stay.
