The Chateaux Laurier was very close to everything and enjoyed the dining options around the area and it is very walkable to the major attractions and tours. The hotel was very elegant and very friendly to all types of travellers. The in check in process was easy and allowed into my room before check in time , included complementary waters in the room and the well air conditioned room. It was also nice to have the option to open the window for some fresh air if you didn’t want to use the A/C. The staff was very friendly and helpful and enjoyed in speaking with the staff through a text and enjoyed having Stewart on the premise. The check out process was so simple and easy. I would definitely come back again. I visited Ottawa for the first time and it was amazing!

Disappointing with initial allocation of room as I had paid for a view of Parliament Hill instead looked into another wing. Room was large but only 1 comfortable chair. TV remote was spotty. Nice setting on patio

2nd time staying there, loved both times. Parking and the valet is definitely an issue considering its location, but the guys at the valet are straight forward and informative. Building has so much history and is breathtaking. Rooms are upgraded just enough to not take away from its original design. Located just a 3-5 minute walk from Byward market and tons of restaurants. Also situated a short walk to parliament buildings.

Everything was amazing, although the Hotel was at full capacity every staff member that we encountered with was extremely professional, pleasant and helpful. This was our first time at this Fairmont location and will definitely return.

Excellent location. Walkable to all top sites. Bedroom could have been cleaner. Dust bunnies all along wall of bed. For the money I expected cleaner. Staff were outstanding. Bed was very comfortable and bedding clean. Valet parking was crazy. Communication via email and at hotel in regards to restaurants poor. Restaurants advertised as open were closed.

The service at the lobby is perfect. It's a clean hotel but the room are very small. The bathroom very very small and very old style for the price. Even the restroom at the lobby are very old style for that quality of hotel and for the price we paid. Also another point i didn't like is the parking. No choice you have to pay the valet service because there's no way to park your car. So you have to add 60$ if you pay for a night. But if not you pay 25$. I found that very strange and unfair. I was very disappointed over all. I was expecting better service better room and better quality over all. Sorry...but no more for me.

A good stay
We stayed in the deluxe double room. The beds were very small and not comfortable. I would say they were a California twin not a full double bed. The room was large so I don’t know why the wouldn’t but in bigger beds. The staff were friendly but parking and food are expensive. The location cannot be beat! Biking, walking, no need for in and out privileges for the valet.
