Clarification
I drove 4 hours after booking online to be told I can’t get my room due to being 18. After informing me, I asked questions to which the worker seemed annoyed and started giving attitude. This was a waste of time as I had to drive 4 hours back. They should let you know in advance of booking that you have to be 19+, other holiday inns allow 18+.

Overall, it was an excellent experience: Room - our room was very spacious and clean. We always look forward to sunsets as we can see the spires of the Basilica of Notre Dame from our window. Fitness Room - our room was two doors down the fitness room, so it was so convenient using the facility every morning/night. Equipment and room were very clean. Sanitizers and towels are conveniently available. Dining Area - we stayed 4 nights at the hotel and we always look forward to the breakfast which is included in our hotel rate. We love how the eggs are cooked, not dry and moist (yes, we are that particular with our breakfast because it dictates the day). Everything is fresh -- coffee, juice, bread/pastries. Special shoutout to the kitchen crew (Marie, Jacky and Beth) - the food is always great and full. Those ladies are always cheerful and helpful. Mornings are packed with guests, but tables are always cleaned up promptly for incoming guests. They are also extra helpful when we needed some pain relievers, and the front desk were not able to provide. Housekeeping - they were so helpful. They provided some extra towels when we requested some. Special shoutout to Geronima. We will be staying in this hotel if we are to come and visit Ottawa again. We will definitely recommend to our friends.

Great hotel, clean, new, nicely decorated. Free underground parking. A large number of homeless people lining the street, saw several actually doing drugs as we were on our way in.

The property was great, just a little difficult to get into underground parking at times due to delivery trucks for building, have patience and we made it in and out several times. We loved the young woman who checked us in, shout out to her Heather was fantastic. Explained so much and told us about the rewards program at the Holiday Inn, yes we signed up on checkout. Also a special thanks to another desk clerk, no name. We received a call from a man at 6:30 pm on Sun Oct 27th asking us to come downstairs. We obliged and found him to be a little hostile, trying to be professional but could not conceal his hostility. He told my Husband that the card was not recorded for payment. I told him Heather had checked us in and all was well, I told him the Mastercard Company is closed on Sunday so if he has a problem on Monday am, I will fix it immediately. When we went downstairs on Monday at 7am, we were informed all was well the card was approved at 6:03am, by the Indian female desk clerk. She was so very nice and told us not to worry about what he said, it was all okay.

When we arrived, we were told 24 hours prior that there would be parking available for us and when we arrived, they said that we would have to walk seven blocks now and right out front of the hotel. There was over 200 crackheads taking needles in between their feet, it was not the atmosphere we wanted nor was it close to any of the amenities and we definitely were not going to walk seven blocks at night to get to our vehicle with the atmosphere that they had out front. It was completely unsafe and helpful because we had already preserved and reserved a parking spot and they were not willing to accommodate.
