A quiet neighbourhood. Close proximity to U Ottawa. Very convenient walking distance to restaurants and downtown Ottawa. It was a pleasant 2 night stay for us. Staff were very polite and quick to process our check in/out. The thermostat in the room was a bit old; hard to control the room temperature. Otherwise, it was a beautiful junior suite that we lived in. Will definitely come back again:)

Ottawa Embassy hotel is deceiving. Not the modern looking hotel from the outside, looking dated, but we had a huge king size suite with a kitchen. The space was nice and large and clean. Bathroom on the small side but served its purpose and the shower was a nice size. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. Great location as it is pet friendly we were able to walk our dog easily. The staff are great and extremely friendly - and are dog people too!

This property is in a good location to explore Ottawa including Parliament Hill. The room cleanliness and upkeep was average, the carpet in our room had some tears in it, and the drawers in the suite were a bit dirty with some debris in them. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The washroom was small with no location to hang towels or clothes and very limited counter space, making it difficult for multiple people to share the bathroom. Overall, for the money, it was decent value.

Our room was really clean, furniture didn't seem to worn out. The location is amazing! A lot of options for restaurants around, walking distance to the mall, Byward Market, the National Arts Centre, and Museum of Nature. The amenities and facilities are pretty bare though, and I think the AC controls in our room were broken leading to a chilly stay. However for the price and location, I think it's still a great choice.

I frequently stay in the Ottawa area. This was my first time staying at thr Embassy in downtown Ottawa. It was a decent hotel, good location. My only issue I have is getting charged for parking. All downtown Ottawa hotels do it. Ottawa may be Canada's capiltol but it's not a major traffic congested city. There was plenty of parking indoor and outdoor at facility. Charging $28 for parking after a guest pays almost $500 for a two night stay is just a cash grab.

I liked that the property is a walkable distance to shops and restaurants. What I didn’t like about the property is that the bathroom is not very private. You can’t be seen but you can be heard. Also, the room was very cold and there was no way to make the room warm, only colder.

We stayed in apartment 208, directly above the main entrance. The cleaning lady was going a great job. The rooms were clean inside, but the windows outside were filthy. It looks like the building was never cleaned from the outside. There is a very uninviting balcony. The worst was the smell of burned cooking oil 2 out of 3 mornings at 6 am coming from the kitchen vent. When we asked to be moved from that room, the staff suggested to close the AC and open the windows instead…On the positive- the bed was comfortable, small but clean bathroom, adequate kitchen. Wi-fi works great.

I had expected the hideaways to be set up in the suites due to the number of people I listed per room, so our party was a bit disappointed to have to set it up ourselves after a full day out. (I didn’t see a way to request this at the time of booking either.) However, the men working the night shift on August 17th were phenomenal! They quickly delivered sheets, helped us find alternative free parking (because their lot was fully occupied), and the breakfast at the restaurant the following morning was lovely. If I had the time I would’ve loved to check out the shopping street nearby.

Despite the older looking exterior, the inside of this hotel was quite nice. The rooms are great, the staff are friendly, and there’s a nice restaurant on the main floor. Parking can be a bit tricky, but it’s manageable.
