We loved our weekend stay here at arlo Sonder in Ottaw! Great location, we could walk everywhere! The room was also great, perfect for what we needed. The only thing I would note was that we couldn’t make the air conditioner go lower at night and we are warm sleepers! We loved our stay thought!! Super easy check in and check out. All yourself! An extra was the luggage storage!

Loved the self-service of the complete process from check-in to check-out. Concept is great, but facilities are so so. Quite a bit dodgy and run down, towels had stains everywhere, cleanliness was mediocre - there were old contact lenses (from someone else) glued to the night stand, probably still there, but couldnt be bothered to bring this up as we only stayed for 1 night and as always, staff can only do so much. Appreciated the generosity re. use of laundry facilities (FOC incl. detergents). Staff on site was super friendly and very helpful. Would not book again.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel, very clean, quiet, close to Parliament Hill, museums, Rideau Canal, restaurants, shopping, public transit, etc. My only complaint would be about the WIFI that was very, very slow

So bad, don’t come

This hotel is so bad. They don’t provide bottle water, tooth paste, tooth brush or slippers. They have nothing. They are not flexible on cancellation at all and bad customer services. You will need to wait for a long time until someone responds to you. Don’t come!

Easy enough access. Nice, convenient location & surroundings. The room itself was uninspiring. Tiny bathroom, tiny shower, clogged tub drain, missing caulking, cheaply finished everything. Terrible pillows and a lumpy duvet. At least its inexpensive.

Liked- Location/ Disliked-The registration process Started receiving emails, etc. early in July asking me to register.I had problems doing so and asked if I could register when I arrived. I was told "yes" but that was not the case./Poor television- had to stream most programs .When I asked about accessing N.B.C.,A.B.C. I was told to go on Netflix/Room was next to the garbage room/Dirty sheets(urine stained?)/dirty floors-I happened to look at the bottom of my feet which were black from walking on the floor in my bare feet. /Pictures of the room do not match the room you are assigned/Intermittent hot water when taking a shower/How about installing privacy blinds? Kept my blinds closed at all times rather than watching half naked people sleeping in the building next to the hotel/No ice machine. One small tray for ice. I bought my own ice trays/Toiletries-a 2 inch size piece of handsoap?? I bought my own soap. Lotion-Most hotels have lotion as part of their toiletries. I bought my own lotion/Poor customer service-When I asked a question I was told to go to the app. Great feeling arriving and unable to get into the hotel. I called the Marriott phone number only to be put on hold .I finally just hung up/Room layout-The T.V. was on the wall beside the bed. In order to watch it without twisting my neck ,I had to sit on a kitchen chair(?) in front of the T.V. Pictures of the rooms online show pictures on the wall. No pictures on the walls of my room. My worse experience ever!

I enjoyed my stay due to its close proximity to the Rideau Canal, Rideau Center and Elgin Street. This place was close to coffee shops, too. No on site parking.

I liked the simple check in, the suite was nicely self contained with a nice sized little kitchen and dining area. The view was something to be desired but we weren’t there for the hotel view, but I had to say something about the location. The suite was very clean and the decor was nice and modern. The shower amenities were a bit meh but again, not a big deal, the towels were super soft and thick. The bed was comfortable, lots of pillows. I’d definitely stay in a Sonder again.
