An old building that’s had a lick of paint and limited upgrade. A large unsightly derelict plot at the rear of the property. The air con is really noisy, the walls are thin and you can hear talking and other air con units all night. Sondor did provide earplugs at either side of the bed so they clearly know it’s a problem. The air con blows directly in your face when laying on the pillow and you can’t adjust the direction of the air flow. It was generally clean and the location is ok. There is a really old bath and the grout was in need of a good clean. There was a really noticeable large cracked tile at the side of the bath which they had attempted to fill but it was so obvious. I can only assume the tiles are so old it’s hard to source the same type. The bed was comfortable. Very narrow kitchen with had most things apart from a frying pan.

Everything went as expected, except getting into the room. My phone wouldn’t pick up key lock, but it did down in the parking garage. I tried the door code manually about 4 or 5 times, along with my phone, and we finally gained entry. No big deal.

It was not clear when I booked that this is a “self service” hotel and all the emails the hotel sent to me were not useful, as I was not able to “verified” myself before check in. I was locked out of the hotel as we arrived and luckily one front office staff was still on duty! I will never book such an accommodation again, and Hotels.com somehow transmitted my Last name wrongly to the hotel. Bad experiences totally

The room was confortable, clean and very well equipped. On the downside the room was a little bit dark and the decoration not very joyful. We strongly recommend this hotel and we would definitively stay there again.

The Sonder O’Connor is in a great location for restaurants. Elgin Road has so many choices. We went to a Diner, a pub , a Mexican restaurant and all were good The parking at the Sonder was convenient. Our room was small but well equipped. The hotel is very clean.

A short stay. The location worked perfectly for us. Since we were not in the unit long, we didn’t try to deal with any issues, such as some light switches seemingly not connected to any lights. It was a bit dark. Also only one remote with two TV’s. Could only find one light for kitchen area and that was over the stove.
