Wonderful breakfast

We enjoyed coming back to our home town and reminiscing. Hotel Ottumwa was the perfect location for us. The made to order breakfast was fantastic and all of the staff were so friendly and helpful.

Breakfast was very good. Hotel was clean & quiet. Definitely dated but worth the stay. It was walkable distance to the venue we were attending. Shower had wonderful pressure & plenty of hot water. One of the delights of the room. Tom Tom's the bar at the hotel came in clitch with all night pizzas & nicely priced drinks. We would definitely stay again if we were in the area.

Very large rooms. Unique hotel stay, a step back in time with all amenities of 21st century. Enjoyed having a “cooked for you” rather than buffet breakfast. No need to drive for dinner or drinks, Tom Tom Tap had it all. Nice area for an evening walk.

I like to stay in historic hotels. The charm and decor is always interesting to me. Hotel Ottumwa didn't disappoint. Comfortable, clean, modern features in an antique setting.

Historic Hotel

It’s a historic hotel that is very clean with modernish furnishings. The beds are updated and comfy. The other furniture is not new, but is clean and looks nice. Room heater/air updated and very quiet. Room size very spacious. Breakfast is small menu, but they cook to order and was very tasty. Fun experience and I would stay again.

Possible last stay at a great historic hotel.

This was my 2nd time staying here, the previous time for a conference in 2018. Needless to say, the Hotel is up for sale, and the purchase is expected to close within this next year. Therefore, rooms are a bit worn out, and items are not really being replaced. The staff is fantastic, and were very easy to work with. The Hotel architecture is wonderful and historic. You can see reminders of what it once was, back in it's glory days. But, the end is near, and the future for this great building appears to be apartments, versus hotel rooms.
