Awesome place to stay at. You will not be dissapointed. Place was very clean and it actually took us by surprise that such a beautiful, neat and clean place can be found just outside Oudsthoorn. Stayed only one night but will definitely return should I find myself in that part of the country again. 10/10
This is such a nice and quiet guest paradise and caters formal rooms as well as 2 glamping tented suites if one feel like outdoor camping. Rooms are equipped with air conditioning and high speed wifi 👌. Amenities like coffee, tea , shampoo etc are also included. Very impressed with the " honesty bar" where you can help yourself to beverages and either deposit the money into a cash can or write it up against your room no and settle it on departure. Breakfast was also delicious including assorted cereals, home made bread and preserves. The swimming pool was sparkling clean and a must in the hot summer days. Situated very close to several wedding venues, game ranch and local wine farm, this is a must stay. We will definately be back!

The property is very quiet and has beautiful grounds.
The gardens are beautiful and picturesque. The property is a bit set back and the approach drive is very narrow. Parking is an issue .
This was our second stay At this property.
Die Fontaine is a hidden gem in a tranquil country setting, whose hosts excel in hospitality. Our room, one of six, was cozy, beautiful, and immaculate, with a clawfoot tub in the modern bathroom. The beautifully landscaped grounds feature a swimming pool, aviaries, and more. Stay here for a respite from the craziness.

Great location with beautiful views of the surrounding areas. Our host was wonderful, gave us great recommendations on places to eat and visit. We would definitely visit again if in the area.
This is a superb guesthouse set in glorious gardens with a great hostess. Breakfast is excellent, with terrific coffee and homemade breads. The rooms all have privacy and are absolutely clean. The swimming pool is natural with great recliners. Dinner is served should you not want to go out at night. We loved our 2 night stay.
This lovely guesthouse is located about 15 minutes outside of Oudtshoorn center, with stunning views of the surrounding mountains and countryside. We were very glad that we stayed here instead of inside the town center. The only downside was that the pool was a bit dirty, which might be a result of the water shortage in the region.
Pros-
1. Good location.
2. AC room with uninterrupted power supply.
3. Lots of open space, gardens around.
4. Manager lady was very helpful and fast service
5. Very clean and tidy
6. Great Breakfast menu with lots of lots of stuffs.
7. High speed Wifi.
Cons-
1. Our Queen room had no window, felt a bit congested.
2. Location name at the Gate had no light on it- so spotting this place was very hectic during night.
We stayed in a room away from the main building, near to the pool. We didn't use the pool as it was a bit cold when we stayed. The breakfast was excellent. The only negative thing to say it was a bit difficult to find in the dark.
An outstanding b&b outside the town odd Oudtshoorn
A lovely stay at this bed and breakfast. Outstanding view of the valley. Lovely greeting with a decanter of sherry in the room. Swimming pool and sun loungers in the back garden were a great extra. Evening dinner offered, which was very pleasant and the afternoon carrot cake delightful!
Die Fonteine is a beautiful lodge situated away from the hustle and bustle of town. We enjoyed the quietness and tranquility the country side had to offer. The hotel was clean and the breakfast was great. Die Fonteine is also situated in an ideal location as Cnago Wildlife Ranch, Buffelsdrift, Cango caves, Karusa wine farm and an ostrich ranch was located within 5-15 min driving or walking distance respectively. I would highly recommend this place for relaxation with "adventure on the doorsteps" for those seeking a bit of both :)
Thanks
Luke
Situated between Cango caves and Oudthoorn, well situated for surrounding visits. The B&B is in a rural position with nice views. The owner is very welcoming.
The directions were perfect & we found the property easily. We were given a very friendly welcome with a drink & a delicious carrot cake before being shown to our room, which was lovely & inviting.
Menus from several local restaurants were available, as well as information leaflets, booklets & maps as well as personal advice. We chose a restaurant for dinner and Anzue made the reservation on our behalf.
The bed & pillows were very comfortable. The bathroom had a walk in shower but also a lovely corner bath with scented candles, which was perfect for relaxing at the end of the day. We only booked 3 nights but plan on returning.
The place was wonderful, very clean and comfortable room with free wifi. toilet had both bath tub and shower, prefect jewel with only 5 rooms available. good homemade breakfast and warm hostess. only problem was that GPS didnt managed to locate the address and brought us to no where, but once able to figure out location was ok. despite nothing in sight just continue drive till reach destination. and surprise was the lovely place once we locate it. it was very much like a farm stay, and we had the opportunity to bottle feed the baby lamb too, and morning was cold but lovely, saw flight of geese flying. unfortunately only had one night stay wished had a longer stay here. ;) the heater was not strong enough, guess weather was very cold during winter but glad they had provided us with heat pad and also complimentary yummy port, after drinking warms your body.
In a quiet location, a modern room with welcoming glass of sherry. Good breakfast and friendly owner. Would recommend if you want accommodation outside of Oudtshoorn.
Out of oudtshoorn but still ideal situation for seeing and doing everything in and around the area. Tranquil setting, we felt warmly welcomed and enjoyed sitting out in the evening listening to nature
